I like to think that the fire you left in Launch Octopus's stage eventually burned the rest of the place down. In the water. And maybe that the one left in the final Sigma stage would intervene in the base's destruction.

Hello! I am an enthusiast for Mega Man X games, and I really enjoyed playing this hack, it sure gave me some frustation at some points, but I feel really glad to have played this game, and I thank you for making it, but, I would like to tell about a little bug that happened to me, the Heart Tank from Sting Chameleon's Stage did not appeared regardless of what I did, is this a bug from the rom, or is it my emulator? (I tried both Snes9x and BSnes).

Hi , For chameleon's heart , its actually not your emulator thats being the problem. Its an actual intentional design from my part on that one. I liked the idea of hiding in plain sign. I agree it can deffinitely feel frustrating at first but i usually enjoy puzzles and having to figure things out. Here is how you get it to spawn. All you need to do is touch the side of the wall from pillar thats hanging from the ceiling and jump toward the heart's ..."pedestral" ?? Im really sorry i cannot think of what the proper word in english would be for that one. But if you do it properly , the heart will be yours to take :) . I know its far from beeing the best game design decision but its one i enjoyed and wanted to keep in the final version lol.

you are 100% right on this one.not sure why i didn't used weapon on that fight,, but normally i use storm tornado, which actually goes much faster then using shotgun ice. since then i was able to best my time to under 50 mins, i sometimes streams on twitch as well .

Excuse me but how long are the boss life bars supposed to be? You can't even see it, can't you bring it to a lower position where you can see it fully?

on the boss selection screen, if the player goes in specs , they can view the HP of each bosses and their different weaknesses as they all got 2 not always the same as the original mmx . some bosses HP will be 50HP for instance, and others can go up to 80HP they are not always the same, the 2 highest being vile and final sigma with 127HP , the thing is X's damage as also been increased as a yellow charge will deal on average 5hp and a mid charge about 3HP . if the player decide to fight only using the pink charges, those can easily decimate a boss rather quickly since on certain boss it can deal up to 15 dmg .

For Anybody To Change The Level Design In Any Mega Man X Game Is Awesome I Love A Challenge

It's interesting how they went from vanilla platformer, and made the stages feel more like real life locations. It really sells the apocalyptic theme of humans nearing extinctions due to maverick upbringing. Also since I'm seeing eagle boss fight its great that they saw that having platforms like that would lead to situations where eagle is just too difficult to hit. Man this game got a lot of love.

I love the level design it’s well thought out and clearly challenging for seasoned players

Thank you ! Do check out the mmx2a videos , the game is still in developpment but all the demos videos are out from intro to virus sigma ! If everything goes good , the x2 should be good for release in about 1 or 2 month from now. ( hopefully lol )

The area where the heart tank is supposed to be in Sting Chameleons stage is all covered in mud and I can't find anything

There is a pillar coming down from the ceiling. If you touch that , the heart tank will spawn as normal. The mud is just there because octopus got defeated.

Heh the moment I saw the thumbnail of X and Storm Eagle I was like "Wuuuuuuut" but for real this does look really interesting. The Storm Eagle battle WILL give flash backs of X6 Dr Gate battle though lol. I still enjoyed watching that battle though and also you could change the placement of some of the crushers in Flame Mammoth's stage cause some of those looked unavoidable and you'll take damage regardless....

thanks for the comment ! as for the crushers i messed because i didnt jump on the first one , if you jump a crusher cannot damage you , the other way around for the safer method is to wait it goes down, use the mini room on top then when it goes down again you move foward, and for the second one instead of a dash jump i only moved foward , so on both case it was my fault for getting hit on easy to avoid situations lol :)

I think he doesnt realize this is mainly for people who wants an extra challenge and doesnt mind the stage overall look (Which gets ugly in some points). I think its pretty fun and the level design is ok

its not about complaining or not, im open to suggestions regarding the game, if an idea can truly benefit the game play experience im more then willing to test it out or experiment. the words may be harsh for certain people but its the point, if he has a proper valid point to share i would really want to hear about it which is why instead of being defensive about it i rather stay open minded and invite people to share their ideas.

Its not the "alpha" state of the game but rather a mod that i named "alpha". This game had been a long project of mine and is free to download . All you need is a snes emulator and some free time ! The link can be found in the description . also. In not too long the sequel should be ready !

On Final Sigma, use the Rolling Shield

true that rolling shield can work good, but if landed proprely , 3 fire wave will kill final sigma since this weapon in this mod deals the most damage to him (beside hadoken which is a OHK). the only faster way would be to land a hadoken , now all weapons can be used against final sigma ,so its more about the players preferences and choices. :)

Colin McGreevy. You get the boots as soon as you finish the highway stage. I would had love at the very start of the game but no one that i know off found a way for it. Any of the main stage works for starting.

The upgrade for buster just destroy the bosses =O

Hmmm.....interesting but will be great if central highway is replaced by White city(a very early version of central highway).

Really like this mod! One thing bothers me though: The graphics need to be used in the way they are intended and in a way that makes sense. For example, placing the stompers from Flame Mammoth stage in a way where you see they dont even reach up to the ceiling really looks kinda "wrong". Same goes for floating bits of street in the intro stage and all sorts of floating bits of ground that end in abrupt straight lines - obviously placed in a way that's not intended. Also I feel kind of iffy about all the weapons using close to no weapon energy. Managing your ammunition is a neat thing and should not be discarded completely.

Marcos Sanchez As soon as you finish the intro level you get the leg upgrade. This way the player doesnt always have to start by chill penguin.

@@Raylightsen same here, for a while and even now actually , youtube wont always show me all notifications. as for the mod, unfortunately i wont be redoing X one , however there is a really nice rom that could be the perfect difficulty level you might be looking for. its megaman x teehee, its made by DarrenVille , i got some blind game play videos on my channels, also, i dont have a current link for it to download however i did messaged Darren, and once i get his approval ill put it publicly for download the same way for the Alpha games ( X1 and X2 ) . you are more than welcome to contact him yourself if you wish but if you wont mind being patient and check the videos for the game. ill put up the link shortly after i get his ok on it .

in the mod , final sigma's HP has been set to 127 lol on the plus side, hes now weak to any fully charged weapon and buster. so in any case that someone wants to do a buster only run or a specific weapon only run , thats is still possible .

yes i am, the designs and layouts were my doing, but i got amazing help from Tokyoscarab and Orangeonion for getting in information necessary to change different values in the game like boss health and damage , and a thanks to Harthunt for the information needed to get the dash right after the intro stage.

Is it possible if i could join your 'team'? I am good with level design, I can keep the difficulty the same while polishing up the looks. I've done stuff like this on game maker like doing the stage design with tiles, and for the player you need to add terrain for where x moves, and wall jumping has its own object. I have experience in ROM hacks and game maker. I also know how to fix a few of your bugs.

i definitely like the offer and am grateful for it ! at this point the game is pretty much completed to be honest .the game is a regular SNES rom and isnt made with game maker, i litteraly took the original mmx rom and messed around with it .. alot lol . some of the visual bugs occurring such as in launch octopus are cause be X not going trough the loading zones, because my decision to make the ice sled a flying rocket of mm2 i was aware it would cause some glitch since it would allow the player to go at certain areas where the game wasn't designed to handle such things ,which is why the boat was looking glitchy since it never got the opportunity to load properly since X literally passed all over those loading zones. their is 2 current glitches that are a bother to me tho, zero skip the explosion scene, but the main one being boomer kuwanger, once defeated if the player doesn't skip the demo screen he won't be defeated and the player won't receive his weapon. those are the 2 biggest known issues at the moment ,everything else i simply tweak to either polish or to adjust the difficulty for the players or if i find a tile being out of place of something and a few were found since the release of the video nothing game changing or anything tho. again i really don't won't to come off as the arrogant person who don't wan't any help. its simply that the project finally came to a closure.if you can fix those 2 issues you are more then welcome to down load the rom and try and i would definitely give you credit for your awesome work. thanks again for the offer i really appreciate it :) .

Myself Thethird What's going on with the boss's order? Is the same weakness for every boss, such the original game? (for example: Spark Mandril's weapon is the weakness of Armored Armadillo) Or the bosse's weakness are mixed into another ones? because you didn't use any special weapon in order to defeat them

Because i have played the original for years and found it way too easy after a while, this rom gave me a new fresh experience on how to approach certain element and do things you simply wouldnt be able to do. Its not perfect thats for sure but it was fun to play for me ☺👍
