This is really helpfull. Ive only beaten 1 or 2 boss in the past and i'm gonna need some upgrades to finished the game.

You can returned to Boomer's stage and get the health upgrade with his boomerang cutter.

I dont know why for so many years im still using charge ice to get the heart, until today, if it is not because I use boomerang to get energy tank just before this heart, boomerang always be forgotten skill

For the heart tank in spark mandrills stage, you don’t have to dash jump to get it. All you have to do is use boomerang cutter, but you have to be off of the wall whilst facing right. You can easily do this by wall jumping off of the wall and shooting right.

Replying to an old comment, but same can be said of boomer kuwanger's heart tank

both armor armadillo and boomer kuwanger's heart tanks can easily be grabbed with kuwanger's special weapon. But I guess you can do those methods if you like the challenge

It's prolly a bit late for this. But I didn't have much issue. However I think it's because I have always set dash to r. You can do this from the options menu. Makes dash jumping way easier.

Ah, you're not supposed to use Chill Penguin's charge shot to get that one heart tank, you're meant to just use the boomerang cutter to snag it. I also used that to get the heart tank in Spark Mandrill's stage.

You don't have to beat armored armadillo stage 5 times you can just jump up to where the pod is 5 times

Yeah and go to where you would fight the boss and flash out. I kept starting the stage and going through the whole thing to jump up there for nothing because I kept hitting start and exiting after I got up there. Did that about 17 times (sarcastically) before I realized I had to actually finish the stage too.

The best weapon to use to get through the armored armadillo stage quick tho is to fully charge up your beam and switch to the octopuses weapon (the water stage weapon) and it gives you a water shield (video game logic) and that kills any enemy that only takes 1 hit to kill instantly without breaking off of you. Once you touch any enemy that takes more then 1 hit it goes away. It's very nice for riding the mining cart because that kills the harder enemy's with the spiked front and you just wipe out all the bats and other weaker things by just standing there. Gets you through the stage so much faster

That jump for the Booster Upgrade is CRUEL

For spark mandrill and boomer kuwanger heart tanks, you can just use boomerang for it to come to you. Its really easy

BRO this is ridiculous

After you beat boomer kuanger you can use boomer cutter to get he heart tank on his stage like the heart tank on electric mandril stage

for the hear in boomer kanger you can use the boomerang

I got the upgrade on Boomer Kuwanger with the Boomerang instead of using Ice Shotgun. Of course, if you want to get it before you beat Boomer, you have to use Ice Shotgun blast, but I just waited until I got the Boomerang.

Use boomerang cutter if not easy to get of some heart tanks or sub tanks,,btw,, thanks this video

LMAO, back in the 90s I used to get it without using any weapons =) Spent a whole half hour jumping around there just to succeed once and then pressed the wrong key lol... all this because of how the dude who wrote his walkthrough on Gamefaqs has suggested I get it =P

Ok friends help, I went to get the booster upgrade and it wasn’t there. This was after zero gave me the upgrade anyway. I don’t know if that’s why. I also beat armadillos stage like 20 times. Even flashing out but no hado yet.

Water in the area after beating the octopus man for the longest I didn't know that would happen until just now I literally get the booster upgrade for the cannon upgrade the penguin shoot the penguin out and slide off on the penguin you know how hard that is

The last heart tank you can get with a boomerang

I play in a emulator and if I get the boots and finish penguin stage, I start any other stage without the boots. If I return to the penguin stage, the boots are there as if I never had it. Do I need to equip it somehow or its a bug from my rom?

First sub tank you did the hardest way you can do it btw on the other side of that tower is an elevator that will take you right to it js

The boomer heart tank can be grabbed with his upgrade instead of the ice platform btw

Red Deadofrara are you referring to Flame Mammoths stage? You have to beat Flame Mammoth and then the lava will turn to ice

@@tinooftime7149 no you don't. The point of beating bosses in their consecutive order is to ease up their environments for you. Chill Penguin isn't the first one, but he's the easiest to beat. After beating him an avalanche of some sort comes down on the Maverick Factory (Flame Mammoth's stage) and it turns lava to ice.

You have to beat the armidillo stage 5x after clearing boss to get the hadoken btw. Dont think ya mentioned that.

It basically does 32 hits on the boss, you have to be at full and standing on the ground. It can kill most bosses with one hit, but Sigma 3 and 4 you'll have to do it a couple of times and get it right in his forehead beam.

Getting this X Buster upgrade or at least TRYING to get it is almost fucking impossible. Why the hell did the game developers have to make getting that upgrade so friggin hard?!!!

Yes you are I have no idea why you would need to do that because after beating chill penguin the lava is gone and chill penguin is literally the first boss you go for so you took an insanely unnecessary step

I had this original game on SNES when it came out. I was 10 years old. I never even knew that was an upgrade until now. And yes what a bitch to get. I actually don't think I ever even got half the hearts or energy tanks either. I bought an all in 1 emulator box and finally just got all this shit 30 years later🏅🤣

Basically once you have full health you can add on some more health in case of emergencies

Idk. It's clever. When you get the sub tank on this level with the power boots you can see on the left side of the wall that there's more breakable boxes, which I think was a hint to play the level again and look for breakable boxes before the sub tank.

IM playing the legacy collection version of the game and the save function has not kept my armor upgrades. capcom sux, everything they build is trash. this game is nothing more than legacy trash no fast forward/rewind, no in game save? capcom can still sell trash in the new world. Worst buy of the year for me. mega man sux and I was mega man for Halloween in 1989.. don't look back if you want to play good games.

Thanks for sharing, this is a good reminder in case i forget where is everything at some point... mostly the things you need other armour parts to get.
