Heat man, not fire man.

Normal players usually kill Metalman first and use the bullet "M" to conquer others. But this guy did totally different, "save the best for last". Really genius!!! New priorities: Quickman - Bubbleman (use Q) - Flashman - Heatman (use B) - Airman - Woodman (use H) - Crashman (use A) - Metalman (use Q)

You beat quick man without getting hit, that's incredible. And this game has been my obsession my entire life. Lol

Screw turbo, you can't fake that platforming. The air man level was INSANE.

to me this is all out of order. the way i played it was: metal man, wood man, bubble man, flash man, quick man,air man, crash man, heat man, dr.wily

All these people saying that the speedrunner is using turbo must have really slow fingers.

I just hammer the B button with the tip of my finger like a maniac, it's easy to fire extremely quickly if you do that.

I remember it taking a lot more hits to kill some of these bosses.

Yeah ,this is on "Normal Mode" rather than "Difficult Mode". Normal Mode was just in the American version, probably to make Americans feel better. The original Japanese version only had the equivalent of Difficult Mode. So in actuality, Difficult Mode is normal and Normal Mode id easy. Seriously, everything in Normal Mode does double damage to enemies and bosses!

The Metal Blade makes you stop to fire it. It's godly for normal players, but probably a hinderance for speed runners.

Sorry to ask, but why did you came to this vid then? I mean yeah, the music is awesome (not the best imo as many say, but really good), the level IS really intertaining and all, but if you came for a single level, why did you search for the timestamp in a speedrun video? Was it because you wanted to see the fast version? I don't know it just surprised me three people came for the exact same reason instead of well, going to a level-only video

Nah, it's legit. If you've ever played this game you'd know. I'm most impressed with his boss route and lift item use. He got creative in a few spots. I've beaten this game a million times when i was a kid and never thought of speed running it. i need to rebuy it and see if i can hang with him. I always did Metalman first because his weapon destroys pretty much everyone in a few hits. But it's not a time effective level to do first. Very nice speedrun! doing heatman before airman was genius.

Megaman 2. When in doubt, throw metal blades at it.

well done! masterful use of the items to shave time.

Crash man's theme is awesome

I always found the boss of the 2nd Wily stage to be kinda strange. It's like... fighting the stage's architecture, wtf.

Best Video Game Music and Sound Effects Ever!

I always thought the droplets hitting the ground before you face the alien sound like Zelda II when Link hits a shielded enemy.

Can someone explain to me how the hell the bosses are able to take so much damage? I played this recently and no way was I inflicting that amount power!! is there something I am missing (with the exception of using the right power to exploit their weaknesses)?

It's on Normal on Mega Man 2, the American version. Are you playing on Difficult, or the Japanese version, Rockman 2? Because that reduces the damage both sustained and given.

I've beaten this game in a faster time, but I've learned a couple of things.

On headmans level, rather than being hit by the mob right before the boss. Cant you just use the flashman power and use it right when he jumps and run under him? :D

+julia eriksson It takes way too long to switch weapons, so using Flash Man's weapon would take longer, considering the animation when you use it
