My favorite MM ending. I love how he walks the 4 seasons. It's great even though it does look weird for a action game. Regardless, I love it.

megaman i ending song morphs into megaman 2 intro which morphs into this song. SWEET

Probably the best game ending ever! I still get the goosebumps when I hear the song of the first ending part.

That ending music is just sick man. I used to beat this game on a regular basis (yes WrestlingRevealedLes on difficult) just to hear the music. Wish it was available on CD.

They're almost all aliases. For example, the credits include Keiji "Inafking" Inafune, Akira "A. K." Kitamura, Yoshihiro "Yuukichan's Papa" Sakaguchi, and Naoya "Tom-Pon" Tomita

I think it's more along the coming home idea. I just thought of it as him being around and able to protect regardless of time or season. Now that there was finally peace, he put his fighter helm down. I guess he wanted to go back to a calm life, but left the helm there in case that wasn't possible.

This was the most rewarding ending for any NES game. Both due to the difficulty of the game, and the incredible montage and song at the end.

The bosses are the same, and music almost, but stages (althought with same enemies) are completely different. I played MM1 on GB as a kid, and when I saw 6 first bosses on the NES version, I got really amazed (GB version has only 4 ).

After wiping Wilys butt many times, the Evil doctor hasn't learn his lesson yet. Well of course, if he gives up our robot hero won't get another sequel. Keep fighting mega man, someday you'll put wily in jail for good.

I used to have this game. i remember playing it all the time. I beat it a few times as well.

It's a capcom thing. They do it more times than you'd think.

Cheats? Guess you're playing the newer releases. Yeah. It's nostalgic. I remember waiting for this game to come out battling with it on the NES. It was hard but awesome.

@smashbro47 Maybe it symbolizes how Mega Man is against fighting, and it's his way of trying to finally put his fighting days behind him for peace.

Were we supposed to think Megaman was giving up his hero gig right there? Maybe he even literally off'd himself (since he is a robot and all)? The song to me sounds like a song about saying a bittersweet goodbye forever to someone or something you truly love. So it would seem that this cutscene should represent Mega making some kind of thoughtful, sorrowful sacrifice. Or is it just supposed to be his usual coming home to the valley to relax ending as in the other games? My favorite either way.

Ah I just finished this game with an emulator. It is such an amazing game. Hard parts, some of which I didn't know the proper technique. All the graphics and music are superb.

Because I don't have an NES and I'm not about to bootleg it off some rom site.

@AgentCirrus if u're from the old school, you should have said rockman instead of megaman. rockman is the original, they just revived the name but same gameplay.
