I wish the stores would make exceptions for large families. I don’t feel like you should be limited. I have 6 people in my household and back early pandemic they wouldn’t let me buy but 1 package of chicken. We knew the lady running the next register and she told our cashier that we had a large family. She said I’m sorry it’s just our policy. The lady behind me in line said I’ll buy your extra chicken for you. Then she said I’m single and I’m happy to buy it. I was thinking great I’ll pay her after she checks out. Then she wouldn’t let me pay her. She said she wanted too. I thanked her. I thought that was so kind.

I went through very similar experience but with milk. I broke down crying. Like you the lady behind me offered to buy me milk. The clerk quickly said she'd have to give it to me outside. The clerk made it such a big deal I ended up saying no thank you and went to another store and got the milk I needed.

If they did that, then it would mean less or none for the many other people and families of different sizes out there. They have to be fair to everyone and ensure that there is enough to go around. It wouldn't be right if, for example, a few larger families bought up most of the milk in a store's stock and there wasn't enough left for all of the other folks who came into the store and needed some.

I figured it out ( I like numbers lol) and you are spending $15,600/ year ( not counting the beef cow ) for groceries or, $1,200 /person /year. Which comes out to around $25.00/ person/ week - NOT BAD @ ALL ! Especially, when taken into account you are also adding to your long term food storage - Good job guys !

I have to say that this depends on the person. I love canned peas but frozen peas gag me. They have the most disgusting taste, I can't even stomach them. Everyone is different though. In my area, canned vegetables are also much cheaper than frozen. I have a budget of $400 a month to spend on groceries for 5 people, so I have to pinch pennies. This is why I learned how to can my own produce a few years ago. We can grow and can our own produce for a fraction of the cost.

I love these videos, I don’t know why I love to see grocery hauls. I think it reminds me of when all my kids were home (9), just 4 kids here now. It felt like all I did is fill the fridge over and over again, but I loved it. Thank you for sharing! I’ve been making my stock up list for two weeks now. Can’t wait for my shopping day on Tuesday! I’ve been trying to use up my freezer, because, I know you know, things get lost in the back! Lol!

I can't wait until our Costco is out of lockdown so we can do a monthly shop again. I love watching your meal plans as a fellow family of 12, we know just how much food is needed! Thanks so much for another wonderful vlog 💕 (PS Those earrings look great on you 😃)

Pumpkin ice cream is really good. Pumpkin milk shakes, pumpkin scoop in banana splits replacing the strawberry scoop. Pumpkin and chocolate are partners. Take a little nap and enjoy the day. P.S. On your recommendation I bought an Instant Pot, loving it. Thank you😊

My jaw dropped when you said you didn't like the pumpkin lol. 🤣 Im an iced pumpkin spice coffee type of mom in the fall, and the rest of the year is chai tea because its similar to the spices I add to my pumpkin pie 🥧

Love your big hoops! I’m a hoop girl,I appreciate a good pair of hoops and those are great.😻 When I clicked on your channel, I found myself unsubscribed! I don’t think I did that myself. Oh the mysterious ways of KZread! I know they unsubscribe people. But I’m a regular here, so not sure why they would. Anyway, nice video. It always feels like you are directly talking to me like a good friend. Pumpkin spice flavor is not my favorite either. Seems the rest of the world does. I do add premier protein drink pumpkin pie protein drink to my coffee for creamer once and it was delicious. I’ll be going on my shopping trip this am. I now have my youngest son and his wife and 3 yo son living with us because they had a fire at their home. It’s totaled, but no one hurt. I have been doing monthly shopping for my husband and I, so I’ll be buying more as I’m cooking for us all now. I’m so glad I had a grocery shopping system in place, it’s not so overwhelming. I also follow the Fly Lady house management system, modified to my home. So I’ve just kept up my routines and absorbed the added 3 people in😻. Having a routine is so important to keeping me sane and stable.

@@OurTribeofMany our family grew in a unique way. We went from having 2 kids who were 11 and 16 to having 4 more in ones and twos in less than a year. The last adoption was finalized a year ago. People doubly thought we were nuts. Keep up the great videos. They really help someone like me who went from 2 to 6 in such a short time.

With the peanut butter that needs to be stirred each time I use it I flip it when I store it, heads then tails, the oil heads to the top which means less stirring.
