Goofy finally finds a job that he likes at the Ludwig von Drake History Museum and he turns into a great janitor worker. But his enemy Pete is out to get him fired by sabotaging the exhibits. Goofy must recover the missing pieces of the exhibits, defeat Pete, and save his job all before the curator comes in tomorrow. With Goofy's Extend-O-Hand, the player must travel through time in order to complete his mission. These missions include Medieval Times, the Age of Piracy, Prehistoric Times, and the Wild West.
Goofy's Hysterical History Tour is an action-platformer video game released in September 28, 1993 for the Sega Genesis by Absolute Entertainment. The main gameplay feature is Goofy's ability to latch onto blocks and swing around on them.
This game is best described as family-friendly Bionic Commando, I guess. Most of the fun comes from swinging on the Hand, and nothing else. The last world of the game feels especially rushed, and I don't recall ever seeing the good mushroom person which is shown in the tutorial.
I play on "Pretty darn hard!" (hardest) difficulty and try to find all secrets. -

The grab mechanic reminds me of Ristar.
I don’t know what’s funnier in this game, drunk looking Ludwig Von Drake sprite in the beginning or Goofy doing a “Haters gonna Hate” walk

Played this game as a teen but beaten Easy mode but not the other modes. It was a weird game to be honest & can be difficult if you don’t know what you are doing.

Broooo total nostalgia I remember playing this when I was like five years old
I was a huge fan of the licensed animated characters in video games! My all-time favorite being Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, another Disney character. Oddly I never remember this one? So many classic games with animated characters, from Bugs Bunny to Taz, Daffy Duck to Donald Duck or Ducktails. This genre usually provided us with some really unique, really fun, and really good looking games. I really miss the Sega Master System, the Genesis, and the Nintendo consoles. The Dreamcast was also one of my favorite consoles! Sad that it was dumped before it's potential was realized!

This game is amazing if you're a fan of licensed 2D platformers. My personal favourite of the solo classic Disney character adventures. Highly recommend it!

It's one of my favourite most underrated Genesis games. Great memories renting it as a kid and now I finally own a copy.
The hardest difficulty lacks some stages.
