Y'know, a lot of people say they prefer the SNES version over the Genesis version, but for me, this was it. Why? It had the Green Ranger. It had the Dragonzord. It had Goldar. It just had that Ranger feel!

AshuraH Well the reason why there's no green ranger in the Snes version is because the Snes version came out before the change of cast in the mmpr show.

A friend of mine back when I was a kid had this game, and we played it every time I came over. It just was so fun.

Keep in mind the year it was released, 1994. Fighting games were "it", and damn near every game company tried to cash in.

you're right, look at the rangers, their stance is the exact same as Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter.

Oh man I loved playing this with my brother before school. Those were the days

My childhood dentist used to have this game along with Sonic 2, Mickey Mouse’s Great Circus Mystery etc in this built in Sega Genesis kiosk mounted on the wall god i miss those times

It's cool, man. That was the one I got hung up on. At least until I finally beat him and couldn't beat Cyclopsis...

This game gets bashed compared to the SNES games but Power Rangers The Movie on Genesis is the best Mighty Morphin game period.

I'm a sucker for the movie version of this game. 2-player CO-OP was a blast.

I remember getting this game as a kid and wondering how Santa's elves could make a video game...

What I could not stand about this game is that Scorpina is in the intro, but they didn't make her a playable character. They could've had both her human and monster forms as selectable characters.

I personally think the dragonzord is unstoppable if used correctly.

I had this game when I was a kid haven't played it in a long time!

hmmm... I don't know if anyone else noticed besides JPerez9011 but the background in that fighting stage is the aurora from Cammy's stage on the bridge in Super Street Fighter 2.

I beat this game too. I played as Jason, Tommy, and Billy. I wish this game had more levels but it was even better than the SNES version. I mean what’s a Power Ranger team without a sixth Ranger? And I love the ending scene with Rita’s palace destroyed.

Absolutley H-A-T-E-D it when you fight the green ranger, that daggers a bitch! but when you defeat him and can play as him, I just use it all the time! :D lol

Basically All The Ranger Have That Pose PD:Red,Blue,Black,And Yellow Rangers Are The Same Characther But With Another Color And Different Attacks

If my memory of the series is correct (its been a good 15 yrs so sry if im wrong on this) its suppose to mimic the time where they combined the megazord and the dragonzord together. That or its just a coding error or its an easter egg.

@Destructor2007 yeah, but even so, you have to remember, the mega drive came out in 1989, two years before the super nintendo came out. the sound chip capabilities either weren't invented yet, or weren't found

They should remake this game and all mmpr games for the 20th anniversary and put on xbox 360 amd ps3 and ps4 and xbox one

"The Movie" is definitely the better game here.

I dunno if you ever got to upload it, but I do remember that Dragonzord had a "hidden move" in which he changed into various forms of his other special moves, resulting in an "infinite" of some sort...

@@infaredd89 I just did. They are different. Sabertooth and Mastodon have their characteristic fangs, Dragon have different design than T-Rex, Pterodactyl have the characteristic beak and Triceratops doesn't appear on this video but can be verified ok other footage that has the horn.

When I was a kid I finish this game dozen times, but right now i just lost my Power Rangers finger power and I lose in the 1st level hahahaha

Holy crap that's it! Thank you! That has bothered me for literally 24 years.

Back in the day when games were different on systens. This feels more like a 2D fighter with the added Green Ranger and the SNES feels like a beat em without the Green Ranger. My personal preference is Game Gear which was a mix of both.

Barney's Hide & Seek Game was released on Sega Genesis before Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers I played both licensed dinosaur games to see which licensed dinosaur game I like best Barney's Hide & Seek Game Fairly Easy Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Seriously Hard

I play this on the emulator from time to time (lost my copy :'( ) but has anyone ever documented the hidden moves? I've see (through button mashing) the Megazord and Red Ranger use moves not listed in the manual, and no one has them documented. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Maybe I'm crazy...

@Destructor2007 I think the Genesis chip had to be used a certain way. They definitely didn't use it right in this game. But Vectorman, Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania, and Sonic all had great soundtracks. So it could be done. Heck, there's a fantastic rendition of the Dr. Who theme on here on KZread you can look up. I don't thank most companies were willing to put that much money into it.

Madam Moe was broken in vs mode, almost no frames in his attacks and long range

This game should have been a scroll-through beat em up game like Double Dragon/Battletoads instead of a one on one Street Fighter type game. I was so disappointed when this game came out.

i still own the copy i got when i was 4 lol im 21 now and still whoopin ass in this still

maybe I am crazy, but I could swear there are hidden moves, and neither faq on gamefaqs have them documented. *shurgs* I'll play around tonight and try to see if I can button mash my way into one, and if I'm lucky, record it and upload it
