Battambang, Cambodia - February 2023. A motorcycle ride in rural Cambodia. People, food, rice fields, animals. Real life in this lovely place.

Lovely insight into Malee’s home Eddie. I went to Battambang once in 2002…I miss Cambodia a lot. The video was well made, a nice bit of music and a beginning, middle and end, makes so much more sense that way. Cheers

Thanks Karl. I'm terrible at editing but the content is everything. Glad you liked it. Many people have never been to rural communities in SE Asia so it's a glimpse of life in the farmlands.

I agree very much what you are writing about the music. This song is (!) touching and gets the right context here.

Hi Eddie, I enjoyed the video. I'm also married to a Cambodian wife. This reminds me of my first time meeting her parents and family.

Thanks. I'm a biker for 40 years but not a great pillion passenger. Malee's brother was a great rider on dirt roads (I rode back). Not a single twitch or slide. I have another ride in Bokor, Kampot that I hope to edit and upload.

Correct. The house is west of Battambang. About 15 minutes ride from Kamping Puoy reservoir (which we passed in the film). maps.app.goo.gl/mw4u95RpE85shGSu8

@EddieManning you're a lucky man. I haven't been to Cambodia yet but hope to go in the future. I met a woman on line that lives in Battambang and fell in love with her. She recently ended our relationship, and I am still heartbroken. She comes a relatively poor family, but they do well. She is 49, and all of her other siblings are married and doing very well. I wish I could tell you more. Thank you for the video, I am very interested in everything having to do with Cambodia, especially Battambang. I was in a relationship with her for about 10 months. And I understand why she had to move on. She's been divorced for many years and lives with her father in Battambang on the outskirts of town. She's looking for a man to marry and hopefully take her to America. Her daughter is married to an American and is still working on getting her visa to come here. I apologize for this message being so scattered, I have a lot on my mind. Thanks again for the video and I hope maybe we can talk or communicate with each other. Jim

How do you handle the heat day in and day out? 40 degrees sounds very uncomfortable.
