Forget the religion part, hot crossed buns heated up with melted butter or margarine is something to die for! Glad you enjoyed your stay guys,..lol! I've heard the notion of Kangaroos jumping down the street in Australia and thought yeah that's BS! But after moving up to the far north coast of NSW,...yes it is true I've had Kangaroos on my front lawn, so it is true depending on where you live in Australia. The same goes for Koala's, there was one rescued from a main street in Port Macquarie which is about an hours drive south from where I am. Also we actually had a wallaby in the house at my parents place at Port Macquarie before I bought the place at South West Rocks and moved out. I heard a short scream from my mother that there was a wallaby in the house and I thought BS! But when I walked out from the computer room there it was a bloody wallaby in the house! My first thoughts where how the bloody hell did that get in? Under close inspection I realised that it had jumped in through the wire screen door some how? Anyway I'm glad it was only a small one, trying to capture it and put it back out side was a handful,,,. so strong and powerful that little bugger was! But I got it outside in the end by holding on to it's tail and trying to guide it out the door,...few! Wasn't expecting that after checking my emails. 🤣

Yeah even when I tell other Aussies that story they look at me in disbelieve. Even at the time I thought Mum might need to go into a retirement home, she's seeing wallaby's in the house? Yeah we thought it was probably being chased by a dog or kids or something as wallaby's don't usually come crashing through your front door lol!

The Kolas 🐨 are so stinking cute. I would love to be able to pet them. I've never been anywhere where you can touch the kangaroos 🦘 How awesome is that.

Your road trip in New Zealand reminded me of lots of the same roads my wife (a Kiwi) and I travelled when touring NZ on holidays from Australia. And your adventures in Australia also brought back lots of great memories. Your joy is infectious. Thanks guys. Stay safe.

Its so funny to see the reactions of people to things that seem so normal to us😂. I live on acreage and it's not uncommon to see a brown snake in our back yard. But you guys definitely did not see enough of the good stuff Australia has to offer! Next time you come here you have to go see Fraser Island, Whitsundays/Great Barrier Reef area, and Ayers Rock as a must!!

I'm from Perth. We went to the Lone Pine park in Brisbane a couple of years ago. Got to hold a koala. Loved it. Loved Brissie too.

it was super cool to see some one from OS reacting to our fury ones cause these we all grew up with in OZ fun video the emu feathers a very soft to touch and the cockatoos can learn to talk so most of the white ones talk at loan pine, I did a vlog there late last year and the Tassie devils were hiding, i the wombats are the Grumpy arses of the Native animal Kingdom here and those dragon lizards are amazing glad you had a fab time

So adorable to see some folks excited about kangaroos and koalas! We have some pretty cool animals here in Oz. Don't worry too much about snakes and spiders. Most people rarely if ever run across them in the wild.

Glad you guys got to spend some time in Brissie. So many people all they ever hear about is Sydney and Melbourne so that is where they go. Both great cities but Brisbane is just such a laid back city with so much to see and you found that out. BTW so glad someone helped you with how to say Brisbane and Melbourne.

Btw I think the word atheist & atheism are oxymorons as the -ist & -ism part mean belief in & there is no belief.

Even better (but not quite so close) in the wild. Most of my early morning bike rides have kangaroos and wallabies crossing the roads and tracks, which means you need to be pretty careful, because they have zero road sense. Or I can go a few minutes up the road to my son's house, and nearly always find koalas and other interesting critters on his property. Great life.

Great vlog...you definitely picked the right place to go at Lone Pine...value for money to see all the Aussie Animals...we have the yellow tailed black cockatoos in our area...your favourite was the red tailed black cockatoo...they are beautiful birds...🇦🇺🐨

Thanks 😊 Yes! I thought it was incredible value for our money! Yeah, that black cockatoo was so active and followed me around when I would move to different sides of the cage. That’s so cool that you have cockatoos that you can observe in their natural environment:)

Y'all were lucky to see the tazmanian devils so active! It was obviously a feeding time. I spent over a month there years ago and toured many nature parks and never saw one awake. The wombats were always asleep too. Lone Pine was my favorite though. We actually took a boat from Brisbane. I got hold a northern koala named shadow... that was 17 years ago. Eventually the kangaroo became commonplace ( they are so much like deer) and feeding them yams got a bit old... but I never tired of watching the koalas.

Oh wow! I didn’t realize that the Tasmanian devils aren’t normally so active. They were really fascinating to observe and yeah I probably had 20 minutes of footage of us just watching the koalas 🐨 the slow way they move and their adorable faces make them so fun to watch! ❤️ I’m so thankful we had the opportunity to go to Lone Pine!

There is a doco on dingos that explains the difference between dog's and dingos. I'm Australian and had no idea how different they were. It's fascinating. I'll try to send a link if I can find it. One tree lol. Lone pine ha ha

Those yellow people on the side of the road are definitely not speed cameras. You will see them where there are roadworks and they are to inform the workmen where the underground cables are so they don’t dig them.

If you come to Australia again WA has some beautiful sights too! Some places are Broome and Karajini. There are also some great Aboriginal tours/experiences in the pilbra and Northern Territory

Hi , glad you guys enjoyed your trip here to my home town Brisbane. Bit of trivia for you. For America's bicentennial gift back in the 70's Australia gave San Diego Zoo some Koalas and they came from Lone Pine Sanctuary. Also on my channel I have a couple of videos of WIld Cockatoos coming to steal my passion fruits out of my garden, you should check them out ! Cheers

I don’t think it was. Possum urine smells exactly like skunk. That area has a fair few possums.

Glad you like our videos! We liked Brisbane the best because of Lone Pine koala sanctuary, amazing downtown beach, close to gorgeous beaches in Gold Coast and nice city parks :) Melbourne a close second

We celebrate Easter with chocolate bunnies etc...quite similar to the UK.. some Christians go to Saturday midnight mass at Easter but also eat plenty of chocolate eggs etc, but the religious significance has been diminished over the years. Maybe because we have about 140 different nationalities and religions here now, and who also consume chocolate.

Glad to see you had a happy time in Oz. God bless you both. Oz Christian.

kangaroo's come in red and Grey, the reds are usually bigger than a grey. and can be 6-8 feet tall, jelly beans at easter???

Plus the design is to help kids identify more with the importance of keeping to the speed limit. When the kids seen it (and you are going above the limit) they generally say something to mum or dad or whoever is driving. Basically getting safe driving speeds into everyday culture.

hi. the 'slow down for SAM' signs are near school zones and I believe the naming is in remembrance of a youngster who was struck and killed whilst trying to cross a road.

@@HappyHoppe yes. interestingly the sign have speed sensors which pick up your speed and if you are travelling over the limit (which is 40 km in school zones and 50km in suburban streets) then the face is red and green if you are under the limit. Thank you for the videos. I'm really pleased that you seemed to have enjoyed your time here - We Brisbanites/Brisbanians are often looked down upon by our southern 'cousins' as being merely 'simple country folk', I suppose you have a similar thing between the northern and southern eastern states.

SAM - Speed Awareness Monitor. Definitely not named after any child being struck. Also, the yellow shapes on the side of the road aren’t speed cameras, they are used to highlight the fact there are road works to remind you to slow down and be mindful of workers. Great vid, glad you enjoyed your stay.

To anyone coming to Australia. Don’t approach wild kangaroos, they will mess you up. These Roos in the video are tame or at least used to people.

Watch out for loop snakes,they are agrissive

Pretty sure the US is the only place that has peeps for Easter & Aussies don't associate marshmallow or jellybeans with Easter. It'll be chocolate, smarties, chicks, bunnies, sugar eggs & sweet breads like Easter buns.

Did you ever make it to the Australia Zoo. It's a 30min drive from Alexander Headland Sunshine Coast. Puts Line Pine to shame. My wife is American and she now lives here in Australia. G'day from Mackay Queensland.

Cadbury Creme eggs are the only thing that we do have from Cadbury for Easter in the US :) they are some of Peters favorite 🤩

In the wild you couldnt pat roos. The run away from people. As they should.

In Australia, we PAT animals Pets are animals that cohabit with humans

That 'joey' looked like a rock Wallaby. As for calling dingos wild dogs, probably more accurate to call them native dogs, only because we have wild/feral dogs already

@@nathanmontgomery4330 Its classified as Native under Australian jurisdiction, and you could say that about any dog breeds considered native and just say theyre all the same since theyre all the same because they decended from Wolves. But either way theres enough genetic seperation from other dogs that they can be pin pointed to Australia, making them endemic to the continent

@@HappyHoppe For the most part if you ever found one, they rarely ever get seen in the wild, they avoid humans because we're bigger than them & they don't know what we can do. Most animals will not attack something so much bigger unless they're starving & in the jungle there's little reason to starve. Btw I saw on a KZread channel that cassowaries are larger than emus. Not true unless you're talking about young ones. A cassowary rarely reaches 5ft but emus where I come from can stand well over 6ft & probably more likely to attack.

Why does Koala put their baby at their back? Because it's hard to push a pram on a gum tree. lol

100% agree about the Emus, a nearby farmer has couple living on his lot, and I see people stopping to feed them, but the way they just state at you, No thanks!

that was a kid red kangaroo not a wallaby they are alot smaller!!!!!!

8:47 note the koala in the bottom LHS... totally crashed in a tree like he is drunk.. their eucalyptus diet makes them have to sleep (as its so hard to digest) and possibly half cut!

Please don't call illness tree. It is called lone pine. After a battle fought buy Australian soldiers at Gallipoli

The proper pronunciation of "Brisbane" is Brisbin, and "Melbourne" is Melbin. Aussie's are very lazy when it comes to speaking.
