To be honest, we’re working really hard to be unique from everyone else. There’s not many groups of three wild and crazy guys traveling by motorbike and documenting it all in Indonesia. The other thing we’re really focusing on is improving our Bahasa Indonesia and communication skills. A lot of people shoot content where they hang with a local, ask questions, and do story telling that way. The majority of those conversations are with a local who speaks English. This is not only true for foreign travel content creators in Indonesia, but other travel vloggers throughout the world. We believe that if we can incorporate this style of content but by speaking the local language, it will be much more powerful. You probably noticed it here with our conversation with the family while cooking, and we also had a conversation with a man who lived on an island by himself outside of Kiluan Bay (you can check that video too). We’re fairly confident that there’s not many other foreign travel vloggers in Indonesia who are conversing with locals like this and speaking Indonesian. And we only imagine our language skills getting better over the course of this trip. And also….get ready for the next few videos because we’re going to be in some places that not many travel vloggers go to, let alone foreigners go to period. At the end of the day we are striving to be the the most unique travel vloggers in Indonesia and on KZread. We hope you enjoy the rest of our content from Sumatra 🙏🏼

not agree ... I love both channels from The Lost Boys and Kristian Hansen ... these two channels are my most favs and waaaaay different from each other with their own uniqueness In my perspective ... Kristian Hansen represents how an expratriate explores Indonesia - he used to work in Jakarta but then quit as he decided to explore Indonesia ... the way he explores is pretty "luxurious" in my sense while The Lost Boys are typical backpacker who loves traveling and appreciates the nature and country sides so much. They also did lots of "crazy" adventure during the journey - having fun under waterfalls in other videos, enjoying sunset as well as doing many camping's works basically ... these two channels are orange vs apple, although they might have come to the same place it's us the viewers who have to pay attention to details between each channel, instead of randomly saying "u have to make a unique video, don't follow what he/she has done before" ... Hopefully everyone can understand what I meant ... as a matter of fact, I actually wish The Lost Boys - Rob, Cheyne and Antonio - could meet Kris someday, somehow, someway, and talked about all the fun they'd had, showing their support and love to Indonesia ❤️❤️❤️ Bless u all 🙏

You guys just do you. That's what got you here in the first place. Not by trying too hard to be "unique", or desperately avoid places other youtuber been to. It would be soo sad of you skip over places like Pulau Pisang, beautiful exciting places that need more exposure not just once just because somebody else went there first/already. Trying too hard will kill everything. It will not look genuine. Also just a reminder cos I know you already know, not everything your follower said/suggest need to be considered. (Except for the suggestion that the video should be longer😂)

I love The Lost Boys & Kristian Hansen, I already watch all the video from both channel, even if both of them come to the same place they still have their own uniqueness.... i come to both channels because of algorithm, so algoritm worked... and algorithm worked NOT just because you are the first, but also combination of watch time, keyword, impression, etc. So don't try too hard to be different just be yourself, and so far you guys done a great job! 😄👍
