Whitney is caring and kind, but can be firm when she needs to be. She has dealt with the death of her husband, Hector, and losing her coaching job in Miami, but despite these hurdles, she has led her family to a new life in Toronto. However, she has a troubled past with her father, Gus, that threatens to get in the way of their new life.
