I can’t see how this benefits humans in anyway. It’s literally just downsides through more impressive deepfakes. Efficiency benefits will just lead to more nonsense on social media more quickly

Indeed. This will definitely promote deepfakes. You will need to use verification software on each video file, just like chatgptzero for text authenticity. One probably needs an automatic filter software, which notifies that a file is generated by AI with a certain likelihood and according to the percentage you may find it more ore less credible. But each time there will be a new AI used and the tracking will become more and more difficult 🤷♂️.
I would love a George Carlin A.I. companion ... I think his take on life and politics would help smooth things out for me.

There is no misuse in this. everyone who believes one source (deepfake video or whatever) from the internet and don't check other sources if its real is stupid anyway. So seeing fake videos wouldn't do much harm in my opinion, in fact it will help to be more cautious about information's in general. just my opinion
VASA-1 will not generate financial benefit to general individuals but to help organisations and governments to deepen control, to tax and to charge every individual financially.
I love all of this but what about when ppl start getting their dead love ones to talk, that is messed up
