One weekend I read The Broker on a North Carolina beach and was inspired to start writing. Currently writing my 3rd novel.
John Grisham is such a compelling speaker. I could watch him talk all day. One can't say that about most novelists.
he's my fav author im 14 years old and i've read a time to kill, the rainmaker, the painted house, the inasentman, and the runaway jury
You are such a wonderful, extremley talented writer and thinker! thank you, Mr.Grisham!
Love his books, thanks for posting. I love the Confession, one of my favorite books by him.
At last! I saw the author of the books that I am fond of reading. I've read the following books: The Client, The Chamber, The Streetlawyer, The Firm, The Pelican Brief and presently I have a book to read, The Confession. I am collecting books of John Grisham. Long life John!
It's the most engaging and interesting writer I've ever come across. That's why I can't stop reading his books.
Just finished The Summons. Great read. King of Torts is topical again with Johnson and Johnson fined. Aug 2019.
Amazing writer !
I liked the interview quite a bit. He does a huge amount of research on his topics and molds that research into a fasinating account. Its almost first hand. Wouldnt it be great if the prosecutors and judges put as much research into condemning people as John Grisham does. I read this book and it was another good one by Grisham. I say way to go !!!
I have three of your books on my shelf
@phubbavideo 'you will never regret reading all his novels. I got most of it. My latest, which i just purchased 2 days ago was The Associate. The Pelican Brief - his novel i didnt put down until i finished it.
A cut above. A thinking author applying research to create a great book
just read this book, i definitely recommend it...i'ts my first book from John Grisham and i'm not disappointed at all...
I had no idea he was from the South and was surprised by his accent. Great straightforward guy.
@ZachClooney remember hes a former trial lawyer so getting people to listen to him is part of his training
love him!
He always reminds me a bit of that actor there, can't remember his name...Douglas something, Michael?...The one who played Spartacus, lol...
i find everything about him attractive
I've never been interested enough to pickup any of his airport reading, but his account of death row is fascinating.
i've read his books the firm, testament, the pelican brief, client, the chamber, the painted house,
To get up on a soap box means to "preach" on some subject--usually controversial--that you have strong feelings about, and that you are trying to convince your persuade your audience to share your view. I think the term comes from the days when people would go to the town square and literally get up on a soap box and deliver a speech to passersby.
What does he mean by soap box?
You're like me in personal times.
@shortcake1000 Sorry, but he's from Arkansas. Didn't move to Mississippi until college.
wow at John Grisham Commencement Address the introducer mentioned Johns books that turn movie but never mentioned Samuel L Jackson as one of the stars which is very weird
nice jonh
Your first step, jail birds. I read him in jail
WE HAVE THE SUMMONS ON AUDIOBOOK what do you do with sudden THREE MILLION?
He must be a genius, he has a very nice cranium.
Never thought of anyone wrongfully convicted? Apparently he was never a County Attorney or police prosecutor.
lol- 23 BOOKS is not a lot. Norah Roberts has written way more books. NOW if someone told me they've read all her books ID be like WOW.

Something about those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones how many books have you??written!!!
If you feel that way, don't read him. Are you a writer yourself?
I heard most authors are a bore when they talk. Not him.
If I started hating him and finding his books boring; after this I hate him more he sounds so boring and annoying. And his accent annoys me. Go back to being a lawyer dude.

Sorry. He has die hard readers. Deactivate his accent when reading.
