Many years ago, Daniel Powter’s 2005 album was one of the first albums I ever owned. I was always disheartened that his career never got as big as it should’ve (in my opinion). Last year I did have a thought that it would be nice for him to audition for CGT but I thought it would never happen - you can imagine my shock when it happened 😂 I’m glad he got to perform on Canadian TV if it really was his first time. CGT needs to have more than a top 14 acts if acts like him get cut because of it. If he performed free loop in the semi-final and the full version of bad day in the final, I think he could’ve had a chance to win or at least make the top 3.

Only 14? Why so few? I thought this was the "Million Dollar Season"?

I am confused also. Seems like a pretty short season. Wasn't it last week they were still doing auditions? Now already at the top 14. Seems like it got shortlisted. Maybe that is because of the production company? It really doesn't seem right to get us all into a big season like this, right when people are just getting used to CGT as latecomers to the Talent Show scene, and have it cut so short. Disappointed. It's not a good look to have confused and disappointed viewers on the million dollar season and too few finalists.

There should really be a Top 21, and not top 14. Too many extremely talented acts are cut. Its not fair to the contestants to get 4 yeses and a standing ovation and then not go through.

So after SIX WEEKS of consistently strong auditionees, they only have room for 14 in the Live Shows, INCLUDING the Six Golden Buzzer Acts? I am really annoyed by the way in which these shows have given up on the "In Between Rounds" and just cut dozens of acts we were getting invested in with no explanation or second chance...

I don't even think these are live shows yet. They had performing clips from that round published already. Seems only the final (with 7 acts?) will be a live show.

I’m done with Canada’s got talent. This is the million dollar season and there is not enough originality anymore. And why are there now 14 this season when last time it was 18. I also don’t like how there are no groups.😢😢😢😢

She was so incredibly talented. The way this competition is set up is not fair at all to the contestants. Going from so so many acts to only 14 (including the golden buzzers) is not fair at all. So sad that so many acts that got standing ovations from all 4 judges are not getting a chance to perform again. The finale is on May 14, so there is only one show between the auditions and the finale. Way too rushed as well.

One would have to spend way over a million dollars to win a million dollars. 😅

Mark Clearview reminds me of what's-his-name?....played in lot of movies...The Fly... ahhh geez....please hold while I refer to Uncle Google........ Ah!! Jeff Goldblum!! Uncle Google has the memory of an elephant! Yes, something about the way Mark smiles and the way he acts reminds me of Jeff. Not The Fly, though, no, no, that was a horrible movie that gave me nightmares for weeks and should never have happened. But the actor himself. Jeff is funny, talented, never know what he's going to do or say next, completely likeable personality, all the good stuff. I like Mark. I'm excited to see what kind of magic he fails at next. Bring it on!

What a messy show. Bottom of the barrel talent.
