Meet the Team that Trains Only CUBE BALL, Can They Beat SSLs?

Ойындар

In this special Rocket League Challenge, 2 Grand Champion players have 2 weeks to master the way of the Cube Ball before testing their new skills against a team of unsuspecting Supersonic Legends. Follow along as we experience the painful 14 days of practice and scrimming while these unfortunate players have to learn Rocket League all over again. Watch as the GCs begin to figure out dribbling, aerials, flicks, and even air dribbles...all with a CUBE BALL! Then, after the 2 week training sessions is over, enjoy the Rocket League Showmatch that puts these Cube Ball Mains against the highest rank in the game. Will their new skills be enough to take down SSLs? Will the unpredictable bounces and physics of the Rocket League Cube Ball be too much trouble for the Supersonic Legends to handle? This is the RLCS: The Rocket League Cube Series!

    That's honestly a really good point. Like, if it's not soccar, and some SSL's or GC's get practice beforehand and pros don't, it's a very lopsided challenge, despite the pros being the literal "best of the best"

  • @TheKz262

    @TheKz262

    Жыл бұрын

    @Tea_Toe My belief is that even if it's not soccar the pros would still be able to make some kind of comeback in a relatively short time because they have the ability to adapt , analyse and learn on the go which casual palyers even up in SSL don't focus on.

    One of the most original ideas for a RL video I have seen in years. It shows that there are endless possibilities in this game, and it only takes a bit of motivation like being in a video like this to drive people to get those neurons firing and develop something brand new.

    @@Rocket_Sledge just wanted to add this, as I would like to get this sort of feedback if I were in your shoes: It was captivating to hear the realizations of the players as time went by. Hearing their thoughts and how something awkward and new brought struggle, but how with a little time something frustrating became something to look forward to. It's a beautiful message that resonates from this project: "At first glance something may seem difficult, but if you persist and allow yourself some time to adapt you might even find excitement in the challenge itself." It's what made this video special to me. Thanks for the reminder.

    I mean tbh. Some of these names are quite goofy sounding if you truly want a new mechanic it can’t make you cringe right off hearing it.

    @@Rocket_Sledge Wait seriously people want a word for the musty flick? I mean I’m still relatively new to the game so this is just my “outsider” perspective. I just thought mechanics named after players made sense because they’re named after a name rather than a word. Mechanics that already exist make sense. Terms like pinch ceiling and post aswell as resets and flicks. They all are more or less already in the game and just describe what is happening. With things like flicks and pops they’re easy to say, people can get behind them because it’s like a neutral term doesn’t invoke a lot of “cringyness “ for a lack of a better term. I suppose for most short words that’s pretty universal. So definitely I guess what I’m trying to get at is you want concise words that everybody can more or less get behind. However, I loved the video on meme mechanics.

    @016_ by "would like a word" I meant the Musty Flick would like to introduce itself as an example of "cringy" naming. Of course now it sounds fine because everyone uses it, but in the beginning there was a lot of controversy and if you even think about it for a little bit it probably still fits that "cringey" description you are talking about. In the end the naming part of this video was very much supposed to be taken in the same way as my meme mechanic vids, it was just for fun. We didnt spend any time on the naming or put that much thought into it. Also no one is expecting these names to be used. Especially as no one will be making cube ball a regular thing either.

    @@Rocket_Sledge yeah I figured for the initial naming of the musty flick and the mechanic names in this video. It’s always interesting to see how we tweak and create things within our own community!
