Sorry, but I gotta ask… if her physical condition was such that she could not properly fulfill her job duties - as she clearly stated here - why was she allowed by her school system to continue in that job?? It’s great that her current students can benefit from her improved health and ability to do her job, but what about her former students who were shortchanged?? If I was the parent of one of those kids, I’d be pretty upset. They might even have legal grounds to sue. PS this is an ad for Optivia, which is just another shady MLM/pyramid scheme… It’s one thing to LOSE weight. Maintaining that loss long-term is a whole other story. Real success will be determined after at least 5 years. The vast majority of people who lose weight regain it within 5 years - especially when lost through crash dieting, which is what “Optivia” is. I literally thought at twenty, I was actually eating for two and gain 100lbs which took me a few months to shed after my delivery. My second child at 36 years old I gained 75lbs which also took me a few months to shed. And at 43 years old I gained 29 lbs that took me two months to get back to my normal weight of 105lbs. It was a lot of unnecessary nonstop work and effort to shed all of that weight. If only I was more determined to stay within the weight suggested by my doctor's. Thankfully I got rid of those extra pounds quickly, it was necessary with avoiding those stretch marks I've heard so much about.

@@GuacIsExtra99 I highly recommend watching Forks over Knives on Netflix. Keto is poison because it encourages eating foods that are full of saturated fat (these come mainly from animal foods and clog arteries, lead to hypertension, heart attacks, etc.). At the same time, it discourages eating foods that are full of life-promotong fibre, micronutrients, and water, like fruits, vegetables, and potatoes. A *far better* way to lose weight is a plant-based diet, since you lose weight AND live longer 😊

But if he goes to a party, he is not banned or restricted from ingesting any food items. I had a heart attack, and it's why we began this diet. The best part is that you can eat a lot when you are hungry, and vegetables are filling. And I don't need medications.

People need to stop demonizing potatoes. Potatoes are actuality a very nutrtious food, and on their own do not cause people to be obese, or even over weight. It is the toppings and other ingredients added to potatoes that make them high in calories and fat. Deep-fried potato chips, baked potatoes slathered in butter and sour cream, etc. The high calories come from the oil and toppings, not from the potatoes.

I have to say, in all the successful weight loss stories I've seen in women, the motivating factor was always the well-being of others. In this case, her motivation was her students. I've seen other stories, where it was a new mom who realised she needs to get healthier if she is to survive the pandemic and live for her daughter and another mom who wanted to live longer for her three children.

It sounds like Megyn is saying Octivia, but the program Brittany used was Optivia (also known as Take Shape for Life). It really does work but does take much dedication and money. Just thought I'd mention that if anyone is wanting to lose weight using this method. It's definitely worth investigating individually. The 5/1 plan is you eat 5 "fuelings" every two hours (anything from a granola type bar, soy-chips, or brownie-like substance provided by the company) and then one whole meal with lean meat and veggies. It's a little difficult getting used to, but it does work, and there is no exercise required in the first few months. I lost 20 lbs in the first month, but couldn't afford to keep doing it because I was a college student at the time with very little money.

TSFL is not sustainable, it's ridiculously expensive and restrictive. The food is awful and you don't get much. You can'tlive that way forever, so you'll eventually gain it all back.. Been there, done that. Tried them all. Not until I started a very low-carb diet with LOTS of fat, did the weight start to fall off. Not expensive. Plants actually caused most of my health problems, so I cut them out. Down 30 lbs and counting - no plants in sight. Everything has improved.

I'm retired, can afford the $327 a month. Everybody's metabolism and response to foods is different. I tried everything, Keto, one meal a day, Weight Watchers, etc, over 30 years. Optavia worked for her, and it certainly works very well for me. I'm 67 and feel like 50 now. After 3 months the Doc flipped out because my blood chemistry went to middle of the range, my A1C went from 7.9 down to 5.8...no longer diabetic. Blood sugar before meals went from 140-150 to mid 90's so she took me off Atorvastatin and high blood pressure meds. I lost 66 lbs. I even went to the gym and did 30 minutes treadmill and 30 minutes swim every day until Covid closed it down. This is like new life for me. I'm no longer constantly hungry and have to remind myself to eat the ''fuelings''. OK, so some of this stuff has weird textures, tastes blah. I have some colorful names for them. I prep the Cheddar Mac, Chili, Tomato herb penne 2 packs and water nuked in a small glass container with vacuum lid. The next day they taste better. The granola type bars all taste good. The shake drinks are pretty good and the packets of herb crunchies and Berry crunchy O's come in handy when I'm in the car but need a lot of water to wash them down. I add a few real blueberries to the blueberry biscuits. Brownie like substance...yup! Some of this stuff tastes like sawdust, ground up rubber bands, and dryer lint. Who cares, the results and new energy are worth it. I go food shopping and cook far less as well. Lean and green!

My moms friend did Jenny Craig and she lost the weight but when she tried to do the same meals on her own she gained some weight back. She did some research and found that any program the has food with it they add chemicals to it so you don't eat as much so you have to continue to buy their food and give them money. My moms friend was able to join weight watchers and will never go back.

Couldnt be farther from the truth. Optavia snacks are all natural, no GMO, no artificial sweeteners, and there are no chemicals. Ive lost 185lbs on program and maintained. The problem with Jenny Craig/Weightwatcher is they get you to buy into their crappy food and then once you lose the weight they boot you out the door. You learn nothing. Optavia teaches you from the basic's and never leaves you hanging it takes you right to maintenance. Ive lost 185lbs on program and have kept it off completely.

Yes I agree. Dont fall for the million dollar diet industry's lies. That is how they became so wealthy at our expense. Life long health comes from change in our habits and actions. I was so mistaken in my years in a food haze life style I never saw I was slowly killing my body. The answer is not in a pill or a program. Save America from obesity. Start by taking a walk for as long as you can handle a walk until eventually your walking for 30 minutes and 1 hour... Walk out your door and just let your legs move. While your walking think about what you would like to change in your life. Every walk can be a meditation to change in your situation.

Lindora is the same way as well. You can't go from eating nothing to eating real food again no matter what you change in your new eating plan. Hard work with making good healthy choices and exercise is the truth. Harder as we get older.

Calories are calories... your problem is going back to “normal” food and actually eating just like you did when you were fat. Yeah, you can’t go back to overeating again, duh

If you use the transition plan you never gain it back. I lost 60 lbs in 7 months in 2015. From size 22W and now in my 21 yr old daughter's 6-8s. Transition plan, coach, community and learning Habits of Health are the key to this lifestyle change program. Healthy Body, Mind and Finances.

I fast 2 times a week, and each day I replace a meal with a protein shake. I do not need to lose weight but I am supporting my friend as she is obese and so we eat the same things. She lives with me and I prepare all of her meals and snacks. The 1st 2 weeks were hard for her but she IS losing weight! And yesterday, I gave her a treat...10 chicken nuggets! I don't eat that junk but she was over the moon for them! LOL!!! If you are helping a friend, do not forget to compliment them every day!

I always struggled with being too thin. No matter what I ate. Or how little I moved. Because I sleep walk/seizure/move. Especially when stressed. I don't sleep eat like others do. At one point I could see my heart beating in my chest. I have to make myself emotionally calm to keep the weight on. Playing the violin calmed me so much. My night problems have decreased dramatically and I am a healthy 8 and a half stone. People think because I am slim I am healthy, but I am not. I don't exercise that much (though I should) and I eat like everyone else. I know people who exercise and eat healthy but still weigh more then me. Those are the people I respect, the discipline, not the looks.

I have seen plenty of people who don’t seem to eat much but aren’t eliminating waste which should be as important as watching what they eat.
