Nothing against Daisy Ridley. But her Character, Rey was poorly written. She didn't go through any physical trials or tribulations. She's deemed a Mary Sue for that reason and that reason alone. Like why didn't she sustain any injuries or something? I don't think I need to mention this, but compare her to The Bride from Kill Bill both Volumes. The Bride went through a lot more. Survived a bullet to the head and was comatosed for four years, Got slashed in the back by O ren Ishii, Got shot by Rock Salt in the chest, was buried alive, even the flashbacks of her training with Pai Mei she was flawed. And she came out on top with all the hell she been through. Now I might've been sympathetic to Rey for her parents being no one had she went through some physical altercations. But 1, more time is focused on Kanto Byte, and 2, a lot of important scenes like Luke mourning Han was cut from the film because get this Ryan said it took away from the pacing of the movie. But we wanted to see Luke's reaction and I felt the writing could've been better. Now like I said, non of this is the fault of Daisy Ridley herself. But her Character could've been written way better. Just like the entirety of The film. As is, it's a below average film that Was sub par. Only redeeming character I liked was Kylo Ren.
