No joke, this tripod NEVER leaves my phone except when I wirelessly charge. I adore this tripod. It's changed how I use my phone, which I cannot believe I'm saying.

Same. Perfect for flights when on planes with no seat monitors. Even charging your phone is easier than using those MagSafe wallet kickstands since the tripod gives clearance under it. It's also a decent grip when filming in landscape.

I have one and 100% of its usage is as a phone stand for my toddler when we’re at restaurants, and it’s damn good at that. Last week I was heartbroken because I thought it was lost, but I just put it in the wrong pocket in my bag. I was so relieved! Someday, maybe I’ll use it as a tripod, because that seems pretty cool!

This thing is the $h..! Really. Like everything Peak Designs does, this is top-notch quality and thoughtful engineering. The only time I’m taking this off of my phone is to clip the phone to the PK mount on my mountain bike!

This is the best MagSafe accessory on the market.
That's pretty cool. I use Quadlock for my case and have their tripod mound paired with a mini joby but this is next-level compact. I'll pick on up when I get a mag safe phone.
I am very much looking forward to the exact opposite of this: a travel tripod style full height tripod. Hoping you guys are already working on this 😊

how well does it hold with magsafe on iphone alone? is it strong too that it won’t easily slip off?
Got mine just few weeks ago and never leaves my daily Sling 3L! I just can't let it stay on my phone because I use the universal adapter.
Does it fit the iPhone mini 12 case too?
I bought it! And lost it in a month as it probably came off as i slid it in my jacket pocket! Loved the way it worked but was heavy and the magnet was not strong enough.

Looks cool but wont be able to use polar pro filters w/it. Those are awesome, but circular. Y'all shld partner w/polar pro on a special fitted filter edition of this tripod. Variable NDs have been killer outside

"Locked in basement for 7 months" yeah right Lead engineer for the Peak Travel Tripod -- OK, sudden flip to high credibility -- that thing is awesome Attaches via magnets rather than case-specific -- Excellent, don't have to eat the cost every time you upgrade to another phone -- that $80 is sounding more reasonable Strong rare earth magnets, quality construction -- even more seems worth the steep price Likable funny guy too I'l take one -- despite not actively looking for a phone tripod

He said if it had Apple's mag safe magnetic back (found on the newer iPhones or phone cases)
It seems like a great Smart phone tripod, I like the design.
The magnets aren’t strong enough for me. It doesn’t stay put on my pelican MagSafe case nor straight to the back of my iPhone 14 pro
Afraid it's too heavy for my UL adventures. I use an 11.5 g mobile tripod instead.

love it, really cool product that looks to out perform anything similar. But 80$ is steep. Sorry not going to skip a bill for a phone gadget. maybe 2.0 or something. Make a plastic version or something. 80$ is alot

Do tell which magnetic mounts you had bad experiences on because I'm so on board for this item the only thing preventing me from being sold is how reliable it is to have the only thing securing this tripod to my phone be a magnet.

I have the wireless car charger and the mobile tripod. I love them both. I'm tempted to get a few of the wall magnets too now.

RND, tooling costs, quality material, they're also not selling massive quantities to lower the cost Probably, all those things factor into pricing

@@GadgetsGearCoffee plus, what alternative to this is out there??? there is literally no competition to this item, which baffles me. I want a tripod that fits in my pocket on current, new phones and the only alternative to this is a selfie stick-tripod which does not compare at all to having this fit in your pocket. A happy 80 dollars spent (70 because I bought used)
i have a samsung s22 im sure other people dont use iphone's can you address that one it cost too much even more if you dont have a iphone im good.

They specifically make a case for the S22 that has the rear magnets for this mobile tripod. You can check their website.
The boll joint is weak for 15 pro max. This is the only one flaw.

how did you break it?? and it almost sounds like you're just throwing shade for no reason, they said it has a lifetime guarantee so you should be able to replace it no-hassle

@@warrust yeah man, so the replacement one is still kicking. The legs got a little loose about 2 weeks ago but i tightened it with a small L key. I’m not sure what happened with the first one I ordered. I bet it was just a faulty unit because I bet the replacement to hell and it still works just like it did the day I got it.
Robb nice work on the tripod (both of them!) please work on a car mount, the current one is frankly not worthy of the Peak Design brand. ETA: Yikes, I just saw that it’s $80. Ehhhh it’s a nice design but not $80 nice IMO.
Mate I would love to try but no product is worth buying an iPhone for. Hook us up with one for the Sony Xperia line and I'll shout Peak Design from rooftops!!
