That’s actually a really high quality interview and all credit to Jim and Nick for making it.

I have to say, it really pleases me to see Jim enjoying the fruits of his labour, especially with the amount of fake news and crap hurled his way by the PC brigade. I'm glad to see he doesn't take them too seriously. Kudos on his continuing work to support serving and retired servicemen.

Jim is always full of surprises. I never realised he was so knowledgeable about boating. He has real passion. Always been one of my favourites.

What can you say. Great bloke. Great boat. Fair play. Wish the world had more guys like Jim.

One of the best episodes. Jim is SO proud of his boat, he’s like the father of a newborn child. You can see him absolutely beaming and he talks with such enthusiasm, it’s so great to see and this is what boating is all about. The people of this country are very proud of Jim for the massive amount of work he does for our armed services.

Many years ago (1990 or so) I worked in a bar in Torquay without many prospects. Jim Davidson was playing at the Princess Theatre for the summer and he’d come to our Pavilion bar with his helpers. They weren’t great to us but he was quite nice , I was never really a fan of his stuff but one day just happened to be me and him in the bar early on an afternoon. He asked me what I would do with my life , I had no idea aged 20. He said get out of this town for a start, join the navy and see the world. You’ll never regret it. Well I did get out, I got to university as a mature student and then went round the world, but as a business professional rather than in the Navy. And coincidentally just bought the very boat Jim mentions in this video, a Sunseeker Superhawk 43, so thanks Jim it might have taken a while but your advice paid off in the end!

Ha ha, great story. I am also form Torbay and the best thing i did was leave at the end of the 80s. Funnily I am a ready to head back now thta ti am nearing retirement age. Sadly torquay has headed steadily down for years due to crap Council policies, but Brixham has gone the other way. Marina is nicer there too. I am going to get a Seaward 23 and go fishing... “Nick, nick” indeed.

Had the pleasure of meeting Jim after a show in Hunstanton I was serving then he thanked me for my service we had good chat for a while it was fantastic to meet him

I hope he continues to live a happy life... seems like a nice chap, living a nice life..

What a character! Fantastic. That was really worth watching, not just for the boat, but for him. You know what would look really good in his saloon, even behind the table he can't get around? Great to see Jim doing well, and still doing things that a lot of us can only dream of (pootling about on a boat) AND especially great that he is still helping our brave armed forces personnel. Thanks for a wonderful and very entertaining video.

I'll never go and see Jim live again as he made me laugh so much that my face hurt. It was the same type of pain that I got from watching Billy Connolly. These guys should have health warnings attached! Seriously though it's great to see Jim looking so good and enjoying life. He's a national hero and has supported our troops with entertainment through some very hard times. God bless him and thanks to Aquaholic for making a very informative vlog.

He was going to some South Atlantic Medal charity bash with Denzil Connick, and it was what Denzil said to Simon Weston. I'm not interested in boats as such but I couldn't stop watching Jim and how proud he is of his boat. He certainly knows his boat stuff and what a top bloke he comes over as. Long may he continue to boat about and entertain our armed forces.

Cheers Jim for showing us your pride and joy. Nice to hear a true boat, one that's got a few tales attached. Nice to see the engine room too.

Great to see a boat that has been upgraded sensibly and is actually being used. Jim’s openness around costs and pragmatic approach to boat ownership is refreshing and indicative that this is a real passion for him, not an image-building exercise. Great tour, great stories, thanks Nick & Jim.

Really enjoyed that tour. The boat is as you say def of its age just as Jim is. But both look great for their age. Jim tells a good yarn. Well worth waiting for. Nice one Nick.

I've been avoiding this episode for some time as I have an aversion to celebrities...but I have to be honest and say he has won me over! A truly wonderful boat, really really love that boat, and a very normal humble kinda guy that really, if I met him and got chatting on a quay I'd invite him for some beers...I love his passion for boats and his self deprecating sense of humour. And I like how someone who was at the top of his game on TV still has to think twice about the money he spends on his passion...that brings him straight down to the level of the everyman... and I like his continued support for military personnel. Great interview, and a real privilege to go onboard someone's beloved boat and be party to their passion.

Ah, the great Jim Davidson still sharp as ever. Really nice to see him again fit and healthy, and wow! What a beautiful boat he's got.

Boat was lovely, but what made this was to see a British Legend being so upfront. Thank you Mr Davidson for taking the time to show us round and have such a candid chat.

This was an absolute pleasure to watch, never realised the Jim was so into boats and what a nice boat it is. Absolutely loved the time he took to show us round and explain the reasons for certain choices and have such an enthusiasm about it all. I was lucky enough to appear on the generation game when he was hosting not as a contestant but as a surprise for one of them. This meant we go to spend the day watching the rehearsals and various takes as around 20/30 of us sat in the audience section. It was amazing to watch and Jim kept us all entertained throughout the day and it was a day I will never forget and I have never laughed so much. Thanks to you both for this.

I saw Jim in the Falkland Islands whilst on tour there. Exactly the same on and off stage. Absolute legend.

You can tell Jim's watched this channel. He's into absolutely everywhere showing it off

Love Jim to bits. He reminds me so much of my father who passed away just yesterday in Dorchester hospital ages 83. My dad liked to think he was as funny as Jim but he wasn't...nowhere near (sorry dad). I saw Jim in the Falkland Islands back in '82 just after the conflict ended. He was doing his stuff in the hangar onboard a ship and I remember it like it was yesterday. A wonderful, generous, very funny man & I will never have a bad word said against the man. Loved this video - and keep up the great work Jim! Love & respect x

I love Jim Davidson, used to watch him all the time with my Dad, such great memories. you can easily see how much Jim loves his boat really made me smile.

Blimey! What a brilliant video. The absolute legend that is JD showing us an extremely down to earth and true walk around a beautiful boat. It’s obvious that JD loves this boat and rightly so, it’s stunning, but how “normal” the video was is a breath of fresh air! Jim was very polite to me, he came into the pub I work at in Surrey called the Windmill, with his wife and mother in law on Boxing day for something to eat,he was a good sport and most appreciative, a real man's Man.

I think that boat seems to encapsulate Jim perfectly. It's understated and has great personality. Loved the video and if Jim sees this, thanks for all the work you do for the forces and veterans, it is appreciated!

I met Jim at a Charlton Athletic dinner many years ago. He had a procession of people asking him for photos at his table and he was a gent and chatted away to everyone without exception. He comes across the same in this video - just a nice chap. Lovely boat too. Could easily live on that with those flash bogs!

Jim Davidson, what a genuine nice guy. Many moons ago I played in a small gigging band and we supported Jim at a flying club in Lancashire, well before he was famous. I knew then that he’d go onto to bigger things. A good night and a good laugh was had by all. I love his proper enthusiasm for his boat. Jim did a fantastic speech at the comedian “Jethro’s”(Geoffrey Rowe) funeral last week. Down to earth, touching and hilariously funny. Did him proud 😊👍.

What a fantastic video, Jim comes across as a great guy, beautiful boat, and a brilliant presentation. I’ll never own a boat,but as a shipbuilder, worked on the type 45 that Jim referred to.

This was really, really enjoyable, thank you Nick! Jim is a wonderful character, and I have great memories of his shows when I was young, and the world was less woke. I imagine a trip with him would be a laugh from beginning to end.

It's nice to see the Princess 61 but Jim made the video very entertaining. I wasn't familiar with Jim being over here on the other side of the pond. Though you would think I would have known about him as my girlfriend of 5.5 years, back during college & for sometime afterward (until she threw me to the curb), was from England. Back then her & I used to watch many English comedians, comedy shows etc...

Enjoyed this,Jim's love for his boat comes shining through,and why not,its a thing of beauty.

A proper Brit...a real man, real life experiences and so happy he is enjoying his life and fruits of his labours. Top bloke...and a dying breed these days.

Enjoyed seeing Jim again, after many years.Glad he is still cheerful and unchanged, and has found a passion beyond the pubs and clubs of (Darlington) haha. I’m a Darlington man myself originally and I do understand. You worked hard, your enthusiasm was always infectious and your big heart is what will be most remembered. I have absolutely no interest in boats but I throughly enjoyed this video. I have very fond childhood memories of Jim Davidson, loved watching his shows with my family as a kid. Love his enthusiasm for the boat.

I met Jim down the Falklands in 1983 when he came down to entertain the troops with Richard Digance, it was a great show and well appreciated by all who attended. though since i was one of the photographers at the RAF show he got a bit annoyed by the flash on the camera and told me to F-off but was nice about it lol. He also came back down the year later to film his TV special

I saw Jim perform twice in the Falklands - he put on extra shows for the civilian contractors building the new airport there - he was, and still is, very generous with his voluntary work.

Huge Jim Davidson fan and a huge Nick Burnham fan - can't believe the two are together in one video. Just brilliant!

This was easily the best "Meet the owner" so far Nick. Jim Davidson is a national treasure who has brought laughter and joy to millions AND he obviously loves his boating too. Thank you Nick and thank you Sir Jim. Bloody good stuff.

Saw Jim Davidson do stand-up about 10 years ago and it was absolutely hilarious. Properly “Old Skool” funny. And not the way you think “Old Skool” is. He had some really clever stuff in his set.

Jim, you are a proud Brit and all sensible people are proud of you also! Glad I’m a subscriber of this channel as I might have this missed this excellent episode! Long life to you!

What an absolute pleasure it was to see Jim showing you his fantastic boat. Lovely friendly chat, cheers.

@@alexanderstefanov6474 I wouldn’t say it undoes the good work he does. His political leanings shouldn’t be used against him like that. I don’t like the way conservatives are running things atm but I also cannot see Labour working any miracles either. The whole political system needs a change now to suit the times we’re all in.

I'm not from the UK so I'm not familiar with Jim, but he's a brilliant story teller.

Brilliant episode. I didn't realise how incredibly knowledgeable Jim Davidson was about yachts. A genuine enthusiast!

Interestingly, we saw Jim in Bembridge Harbour, IoW, this Summer, and he was just as he was here, enthusiastic and helpful, even offering a fellow boat owner a lift back to the marina, which he really didn’t need to do.

As your video started, I said to myself "now there's an interesting owner" but then it became apparent that Jim's a well known UK comedian (he's not that well known over here). The whole video was interesting and entertaining - I'm relatively new to AQUAHOLIC and now I'm hooked. Keep up the excellent work Nick!

He’s not woke so not on tv much

I've just realized, this man was a big part of my growing up and choosing the BBC over the local Dutch TV! 👍 Great to see him enjoying life on the water and what a lovely boat. Thanks too you and him for bringing some realism to the boat owning dream. 👏Loved it.

Not sure how this video was suggested so first time watching one on boats and what a joy it was. Excellent presenter and Jim was so down-to-Earth and informative about his boat. Has given me the bug…
