Also, Yamato and Musashi are "easy mode" until they aren't. Troll dispersion is hell of a thing and having a citadel so massive that you might as well not even have belt armor kinda sucks when you get flanked or put one pixel of citadel pass an island. Yes, I speak from experience. I don't normally do the admiralty backsing, much less buy out campaigns, but this time I at least did the former just because Yamato and Musashi have historical significance to me, as much as I hate myself spending more money on the game Musashi is worth it to me. I'm a sucker for ships that actually existed, people served on, and did things.

You made a valid point concerning Yamato, but I don't find it's vulnerability any better or worse than a Russian BB or even a ship like the Iowa, which if hit broadside can see 2/3rds of it's health (or more) erased in a single well-placed salvo...or introducing French BB's to HE shells. Each line has its Achilles Heal to varying degrees. To me each ship has a personality which works best with one whose play-style is best compatible to that ship along with staying up on map awareness which is a discipline unto itself.

@@moonytheloony6516 Not exactly. If you look at Yamato flat broadside her citadel is so big some of it sticks outside of her belt both fore and aft. As far as I know the real Yamato did not have this design flaw and I don't think any other battleship in the game does either. I don't actully mind her armor having exploitable flaws like this so long as her guns behave/are balanced accordingly.

I've been testing this ship with Takagi (16/3) with Cunningham (16/3) and Iachino (16/2) My results have been rather interesting thus far. I'm still testing but I encourage anyone who likes Japanese BB's to give this build a go or two...

I'm using Emergency Specialist instead of Reaching Out and for inspirations I'm using Cunningham and Kedrov. My Musashi reloads in 26sec and rotates in 30sec and did pretty well on my first battle. My Takagi is 16-3

Wows Legends bringing me back with another Yamato class XD haven't played the game nor watched to much wows legends content for a while (more than 3 to 4 months). Congrats on 40k Spartan, keep on going.

I mean, it is easy mode yes, but only as long as whoever is at the helm knows what they're doing. The first and only Musashi I've fought so far stayed hidden behind an island for most of the game, stayed broadside when he peeked out and then proceeded to bounce off my Brandenburg's bow when I charged, torped and broasided the shit out of him. Guess what I'm trying to say is that a bunch of whales and potatoes are going to be buying it and continue to suck at the game regardless and probably not touch it again cause they don't learn. End of the day not much will change for T7 compared to before, at least we won't face Shimas and Minos anymore.

Its not really easy mode compared to the invisible high tier torp spammers using perceptive ect to avoid other DDS.

The TLDR of her secondaries this is her 1942 configuration. By 1944 her and Yamato had thier 6 inch wing turrents removed. Both ships were refitted and sank with a massive increase in Type 96 25mm barrels in thier place and elsewhere onboard.

Fun Fact: Yamato Class were wide due to making her able to fire her main guns with a stable Platform. Iowa Class doesn’t have this feature due to limitations.

It is kinda funny how OP Yamato and Musashi where in real life since WG had to basically invent a massive flaw in their armor layout. As I understand it the real Yamato's armor layout protected her vitals well but there where questions in the armor material and joints quality along with potential flaws in her gun barrels. Regardless, these ships were quite accurate in good weather and at night and remarkably tough - designed to take on two contemporary battleships at the time of her construction (think ships like Bismarck or North Carolina).

WoW coulda been funny and including the type 3 anti aircraft shells for the main guns like in RL.

I'm glad I watched it because besides being no good at the game I was getting ready to get rid of the Musashi that I just broke myself trying to get LOL! I have had it a day and have maybe scored around 50k. I seem to be everyone's target and can't even finish the battle alive.

I have found the G. K to be an amazing counter, and slap the hell outta Musashi. Also the Parseval is fun to mess around the Musashi due to poor AA

To clarify there was 5 Yamato Ships Planned: 1 got canceled then there was 4 left Famous Yamato and Musashi, the only Yamato Battleships. Shinano Yamato class whats converted to a Support Aircraft Carrier and Battleship 111 what was 40% completed but then Scrapped again. So just to clear all rumors about them. Yes. Technically the Shinano wasn't a Yamato-class (as the Yamato-class is a class of battleship), it was a variant class, kind of it's own thing. You get into a grey area when you start modifying ships so much they're not even their original type anymore. I believe Lexington started out as a battlecruiser.

If you like Baltimore Wichita plays very similar though she tends to prefer HE of AP because she uses the older New Orleans AP shells instead of Baltimores Super heavy AP. That being said the new version has More AP shell damage and slightly better AP shell pen than Wichita CE so probably good to use either way. Shes got a decent reload and good accuracy so it should be good.

Love her and her sister. Gotta get Shinano, despite it being an aircraft carrier.

Grouping is how close the shells stay together... dispersion reduces the circle the shells can land in

So it's still super early but in the patch notes they reference how they can and will nerf premium ships going forward as needed for balance. I'm guessing they knew how strong this ship would be, they will sell a bunch and then fall back on being able to nerf it after the campaign is over

I feel like georgia should get the 460mm guns, makes sense like it's only 6 guns and 4 over the front. seems fair imo

I would have put this instead of Izumo in the Tech Tree then if i know what i know back in Alpha, i would have done Amagi (T7) -> Musashi (T8) -> Yamato (T9 or *) then would see less in matchmaker and people has to grind for it.

Yeah but wargaming doesn't like adding two ships of the same class in the tech tree they have to be a different class so that's that izumo it is and ofc money money money for wg

I honestly don't mind big guns overmatching me because at least the player has to light themselves up on map to do so, I'd rather fight musashi and yammy together than a single good shima or kleber player

Whoever at WG added this and Republique to the campaigns must have gotten a raise, certainly.

How do you shoot over the island? Like every time I have tried it doesn’t go over the island it just aims at the island so I don’t ever do it because of that reason. So how do you shoot over the island.

Depends on Distance to target and whether you can lob the island or not... but you gotta make sure you are locked on to the target first otherwise youll just shoot the island but if you are locked on and have the shell arc to do so the shells will go over the island

I think that actually Yamato has a little bit thicker upper belt than this, so you are less tanky upclose, being overmatchable by other musashis and yamatos there. But being honest... who the hell aims at upper belt, when you can score multiple citadels by the cheeks? 😂

Musashi is a campaign ship and not sure it will come back as it is incredibly powerful... otherwise Yamato is a bureau project you can research at any time

Possible cv, or really escort carrier. It's still disputed whether the shell that killed Gambier Bay was from Yamato or one of the closer heavy cruisers.

This thing is going to have Carrier captains salivating every time they see it on the enemy team. Massive target with useless AA. Musashi drivers better pray WG doesn't make Legends like PC and let more than one carrier per side in matches.

Musashi is just ridiculous. Wargaming solved the problem with T7/⭐ just to create THIS one. 🤦‍♂️ Honestly... I am a little bit surprised how many Musashi's are already out there.
