I just graduated college with my degree in marine biology and I can’t wait to start working more in depth (pun intended ) with marine animals

I’m addicted to watching these crabs on livestream too…but have you noticed how every time they come into view and begin to do interesting things, a large dark fish invariably blocks the view repeatedly? It drives me crazy and I start yelling “move!” and tapping on my iPad screen. Recently I saw one of the large males literally leap up….maybe a few inches…when another large male walked into him. I had never seen one of them do that before. I never realized they had all those little appendages near their mouths. This video is the first time I’ve gotten to see one up close.

I visited this aquarium when I was a child and it has remained in my mind as one of my favorite places ever. I am so grateful, in particular, for all the live feeds! Thank you for all the good you do for our aquatic friends.

This is my new friend Darius the Crab & he wants to invite you to his underwater coffeehouse where they host a weekly crustacean poetry open mic that focuses on inter-tidal issues like the current state of currents, mermaids' rights & squidmen's mental health-- he's excited to offer you a pamphlet that his cuttlefish roommate did graphic design work for in exchange for koi-poi lessons. He hopes to see you at his garden party at the community tidepool Friday night! Kisses from Darius xo

when i went to visit the aquarium last year, i passed by this tank and had to do a triple take. they're massive. at first, i thought it was a mockup--fake bones, fake crabs. and then one of them moved. first and only time i've been jumpscared by a huge crab. it was awesome.

These guys are huge! And it boggled my mind how unbothered other people around me were, they didn't react at all! When I say huge... I mean like longer than 6ft! Gah! So big
