Unless you go to a chain from Taiwan that sells their boba, tbh the taste is super different. There is definitely Americanized/foreign boba and original/Taiwanese styles. I grew up between Taiwan and America and have also seen the evolution of the drink since I was a kid in the 90s in California. This is just my opinion, but I think I’m right lol

There’s also a lot of other shops in Taiwan that have bubble tea and because there are so many places there it’s really cheap. So i definitely recommend going!

I remember the days of when I was younger that whenever it was the holidays, me and my family used to always go to Chinese restaurants in China Town in London and order a meal and bubble tea from time to time. It was actually served in a cocktail glass as well, I managed to finish it most of the time and there were other times when I couldn't. I miss those times, but now there's a whole load of bubble tea places around London so I'm thankful I can drink to my heart desires. As an og bubble tea drinker, I loved how you interviewed the original inventor of this amazing beverage. It was a very genuine interview. Thank you to the Taiwanese for the amazing creation! Also, shout out to the bubble tea addicts out there!!

-Gemberkoekje- there’s a trend going around in Japan where women are holding up their boba tea with their cleavage. Photos hit the internet, now people are memeing it. There’s this one funny picture of two girls doing it in a news article and then a photo of a flat-chested girl doing it by leaning backwards with the tea on her chest like it’s sitting on a table.
