Every year in February, the famous VDL Stud from the Netherlands flies a whole group of horses over to Wellington, Florida, for the WEF Sporthorse Auction. This year, there were fourteen of them.
On the evening of the auction, right before the start, we visited the three VDL grooms Annemarie Schuil, Merijne Houwink, and Hildou Bootsma. We asked them about their experience and the difference in grooming between rainy and chilly Netherlands and warm and humid Florida.
