Think it’s hit or miss on weather there going to eat your livestock.. I feed him heavy first month table shrimp and scallops. Then backed it down to once a week.

My snowflake eel never bothered any of my fish or shrimp until I was taking them back to the LFS because I was moving out of state (getting reassigned in the Air Force). I had everyone in a styrofoam cooler unbagged and a few fish and the shrimp weren't in there when I got to the store.

Wow your tank looks amazing. I have a 240 8ft x2 x2 and I so loved your aquascaping. I did mine almost like yours. Well I tried but great awesome looking tank! 👍🏼

I’ve been doing 6 - 10 hour shifts for the last 9 months so took it down just about to start up a new one so I’ll be putting a video out on that soon

Hey Joe, ordered some deer netting on amazon. Has 1/2 holes, then went to Home Depot and just bought some screen door rails and screen spline.

Hey Robert. I finally figured out how much and when to feed him. I feed him table shrimp and scallops every 5 days. Pieces are about 3/4 x 3/4 of a inch. Usually between 3 and five pieces.

How big and how much pvc you have for your eel?

I wanna have that type of eel..the question is will that eel eat any of my fishes and how often do u feed them.?

It won't eat any of your fish as long as they're big and fast, like his tangs You also need to figure out how much they eat. I've done every day and bumping up the food until they stop eating for a day, that means you need to bring it back down by one. Or if I'm leaving I'll feed him double for a day and skip the next. You also need a 50 gal at minimum

Igor Del Ventura Rodrigues hey Dzhotdog, my eel was awesome, I fed him real good when I started him off in the tank. He never ate anything bit scallops and table shrimp. My blood shrimp was standing on his head and he didn’t even care. Was a cool sight to see. Which I would have caught it on film. From what I witnessed, the eels are personality based where there going to eat your whole tank or just be a grate take mate like mine was.

Wayne Desilets thanks for responding Wayne! I imagine the scene. Must be really mesmerizing to see the interaction between the different species. That is great to know, really, since people tend to generalize things in tutorials and other informative videos and articles found. In the next few years I will put together a reef tank and I really wanted to have an eel. My preference would actually be the blue ribbon, or maybe the snowflake or the zebra (this last one is pretty scary how big it can get nevertheless my aquarium will be able to shelter it comfortably).
