Liberia's capital Monrovia is home to a quarter of the country's population. One-time Miss Liberia Patrice Juah shows us around her city.
Patrice Juah is a Mandela Washington Fellow of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), a writer, poet, entrepreneur, broadcaster and communications strategist. Miss Liberia 2006 advocates for the education of girls and addresses global audiences, is dedicated to changing the image of her country abroad.

    Good to see Liberia has put it's past behind, I lived there for 15 years through multiple wars, people are really nice and friendly, they have been through a lot but have not lost their smiles.. wish the country all the best, so much potential...

    @@abrahamswaray3039 are you from Liberia? How do you know it? I've read that it can be really unsafe at night in Monrovia. Though I believe the country is probably safer than majority of Africa.

    Yes i am Liberian from Liberia. Since the was end 15 yes ago, Liberia is save and lot of foreigner live in Liberia. Labanese, chanese indian and nigirian.
