I’ve been into pet robotics for 20+ years. Seems like 5 years from now, we may finally have something good.

Loona is just a we bit to hyper for me so I went with Emo. He 's on my work desk and chill. Two different robots which I get, but Loona needs a Child-Adult-Seniors mode, if they implement that, I'l get one.

Totally agree!

Loona is an amazing PetBot though not perfect by any means. I have one of them as well. Something to keep in mind is you'll have a better success for Loona picking your commands if you wait for the ripple rings to appear on her face screen right after the Hello Loona. That is when her mics are actually activated to listen for a command. If you give the command straight after the Hello Loona and before the ripple rings show up, then she wont be able to register your command. I hope the devs can iron the timing of that in future updates and make her more responsive and in faster times.

I don't own one yet but I from what I understand is that Loona gets better at moving around the house and stuff overtime

so from wheat i researched so far ...when she in a new home and room ... she like to look all around to remember her surroundings so she can better maneuver through the house of the new owner ... kind of like a real pet! 💜💜

To the video maker, quick tip. The reason why it's not answering to the commands is you have to say HELLO LOONA, make sure after you you that, you see the ripples on the face and after you see those ripples then you give the command. Also she is very hard at seeing dark things that's what she kept running into those black posts😮... also ChatGPT does work great but remember again you have to wait for the ripples to activate it😜. With that said most likely it didn't get that command to go to it's charging station that's why it's not really trying to go there and it's just doing something else😮

PS, I just read another comment about the ripples, sorry about that :-) but I do think you have to redo that video because all those commands you say that do not work actually do work and that's pretty much the whole video 😅

Thanks for sharing your feedback. I did in fact try many times outside of the filming of the video to try some of these commands, including waiting for the ripples, and it didn't seem to react to them still. Maybe I just need to update the firmware or something but I do agree in other parts, it just requires a bit of patience to wait for the ripples to then activate the gestures/movements to the voice commands 👍🏼

I think it is trying to be a cross between Cosmo and Vector. I have a Cozmo and he is awesome. Very similar. Lots of games and lots of fun. I'll wait on this one as it just seems to buggy now. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the legit review. Seems there’s plenty of shill videos on KZread. The idea of the robot is nice and I would likely pay the high price tag to give my grandmother a pet that doesn’t need to be fed but I’m glad I watched your video review. Thanks!

I think you should not use the thick carpets cuz it can block the movement on this robot but you can't return back to its charging station it is trying but just not doing it so well

I think Loona was purposely bumping in to stuff and chewing things because sometimes thats hiw a real dog behaves.

it follows you because of face recognition, how will it follow if you have a phone in front of your face..?

How'd you get past the set up. I can't connect mine to my phone.

I tried both and after I emailed the company I tried again. IOS didn't work, but I finally got it on android. I believe the app had to be fixed because there were several reviews of the app saying they couldn't connect or even get a verification code.

Sadly, the company itself is terrible. I was a backer for the Indigogo project and I got mine about 4 months ago, sadly it broke after a very short while and is now a paper weight. I have reached out to the company more than 10 times, I even sent a message to the CEO. I have been promised a new unit, but after 3 months of waiting I give up. Do NOT buy this for ANYONE you care about. They will love it until it breaks and then they will be heart broken by the total lack of customer service.

My loona is not quikly like yours. She moves slowly.

You interrupted it just when it had tilted its head back. That's precisely when it had located the charging station and aligned itself with it (which is painful to watch on this kind of carpet). It was about to turn around and go there in reverse. About the voice commands, it's already been said but you need to be more attentive to the signals the robot sends. Like when you ask it to become bigger: you say "hello Loona" when it's already listening (yellow ripples) thus getting it off the listening mode. There are several details of this kind showing that you don't know what you're doing (where did you get the idea that you have to connect to the app for voice commands to work?). If you intended to simply record yourself trying the device as any non-tech savvy people would, ok. But if it's a review then, in my opinion, it's a bad one.

I had a Vector and got bored with it faster than watching paint dry. Once you get past the “Oooh’s” and the “Wow’s”, it’s just an overpriced limited toy

The reason it wasn't following you is because your room is dark number one its works great accually but you are too far away calling it and it can't see you I can see you new to ai robots you get better at it loona works perfect but you have to use it as intended and not how you want it to work. Turn on a damn light already geese

Maybe your voice is too whispery quiet, and that damn rug has got to go!

Don't buy it, the home station never works, and it needs full attention all the time or it just turns it self off at the weardest places, buy a EMO instead, so much more fun, it can entertain himself, never turn himself off not even at the homestation and the homestation works 100% I regret it soo much I bought a loona, the homestation is an expensive piece of junk, only good for the wastebasket, and when I went to the toilet or something the damn thing turned it self off and searching hard to find it. also when you put it at the power or on its charger it turns itself off, app stops working then, wondering why.. should not be.
