I know this isn't the most important thing to focus on but still i gotta say. Kerry Washington's back is to die for. Kerry Washington is BEAUTIFUL. She really is. Not just physically but her soul shines bright too. If anyone else played Olivia Pope it just wouldn't have worked at all and thank the lord they said yes to Kerry. In this scene in particular that dress is killer. Probably my fav of the entire series.

She pretty much pimping out her husband. I don't know if she realizes at this point that he actually loves Olivia. Mellie just thinks it's just lust. It's funny how here she invited Olivia so that Fitz could see her so that he can sleep yet later after Mellie gets pregnant and he's actually sleeping now Mellie is having him sleep on the couch because he's having erections in his sleep because he's dreaming of Olivia.

Girl I know how it is. I got my first hit during season 3 and I actually got on KZread and started watching clips for hours and the next day I got up and bought season 1 and 2 on dvd and spent the weekend locked in my apartment watching every episode. Once you get your first hit of Scandal it's hard to stop LOL

I just started watching a year after it canceled and I am hooked. When it was on the air I didn't want to watch. I just wanted to watch Grey's Anatomy and that's it but Scandal man is amazing and I watch for Olitz, Abby and David and Charlie and Quinn all my favorite couples

...Not crazy at all when you know Mellie motivation. Keep Fiitz happy in his presidency. She is still the first lady...she still receives the perks of that position. Olivia is still the mistress...Mellie..knows where the power source lies..

no she didn't the show wasn't about Fitz and Olivia and thats why she broke them up so much. They are two people who fell in love in a world of power. The show is about what people are willing to do and sacrifice for it. They both tried to fight the feelings but love was too powerful in the end. Rowan always said that love is a weakness. That's why he always hated Fitz because he was the man Olivia always and only loved. He didn't want her to experience that at all. He chose power over family and love and so he wanted Olivia to do the same thing. Everything he did to destroy Fitz and Olivia never worked. All the way up to the very last season they were more in love than ever.

@@faithwatkins7811 It didn't start off as the Fitz and Olivia Show - but Ms. Rhimes allowed it to be that. THEN (it appeared) that she clumsily inserted too much Jake (would Olivia Pope stay with a man who held her in a stranglehold against an office wall in front of her staff?), too much B613, and a sudden 'I need the power/I need to be in charge/I need to be Command', without ANY build-up to Olivia moving to the Dark Side. I agree, it had become too Fitz & Olivia - but there were many better and stronger ways to handle it than the unbelievable choices that Shondaland utilized. (But she's got her own very successful production company...and I have insomnia...)

I think I know what this feels like. When you’re at a company holiday party, your boss is there with his wife, yet he HAS to be looking at you. I didn’t look at him, except for once that night and, yep, he was looking at me, like he’d been waiting for me to turn around all night. When that wasn’t enough, maybe it was why he made his way to the other side of the room, where my back wasn’t facing him. I’ll never know because nothing ever became of us.
