We hung out with Floyde in March 2020 - he is an amazing man and is a treasure to Jamaica. We love St. Elizabeth Parish - lots of Canadian friends there that have built big homes, (even though we Winter in Ocho Rios, we have see every part of JA). Jake's at Treasure Beach, Parrottee & Black River are all spectacular. Congratulations to all that are involved in this Film Festival! Much Love & Peace! Wah Gwaan Jamaica!

Yes...seagrapes can be eaten 😁 those looked a bit young though...perhaps will be ripe by the time of the festival 😁 Pelican Bar is by Black River side...not by downtown but by Parottee, district of Black River Crane Rd to Parottee is Black River's hip strip...some of the largest parties are kept here, a stretch of beach double the length of 7 miles, some nice villas and more to come, etc

So awesome y'll could meet each other. Looking forward to see great exposure and support for the Black River Film Festival to continue to grow and bring more to such a historic seaport capital of many 1sts that is Black River in the heart of the breadbasket and mecca in southcoast tourism in Jamaica that is St. Elizabeth which in itself in general as a parish also holds a number of records. So many stories here, so many places to go, so many places to see, so many things to do and so much to enjoy.

Movies about “gender issues” to show the audience what film makers are producing? I hope they’re not rolling in some WOKE drama about a boy who is “really” a girl. Jamaica is one of the few countries that hasn’t been completely saturated this garbage. It’s probably a Canadian film. 🙈

the world we live in... when people hear "gender issues" they no longer think about the struggles teenagers face during puberty depending on their gender, or the discrimination people have to face due to having "gender roles" forced on them (aka "woman can't be an engineer", "man cannot be a ballet dancer"). Instead, the world today thinks of "gender issues" as the concept of "transgender issues" only.
