He is a mixed traffic engine who pulls local passenger trains and slow freight trains on the Furry Metatonia Railways. He thinks that Marcan is the pride of LNER just like Alfred the LNER B12, Hazel the nice B12, Milo the B12, and Nathan the black B12 engine. He was jealous of Seth, the red NWR E2 tank engine, getting rewarded for saving Spade, the red L&YR Class 28 engine who was pulling a long slow freight train. He is a bad-tempered engine who will get his revenge on Thomas, Seth, and their special friends in the Furry Kingdom and Sodor."
