The Esperance Stonehenge is a full-size replica of the original Stonehenge in the UK, showing how it looked around 1950 BC. Made of 137 stones of Esperance Pink Granite, it weighs 2500 tons and is located 15,178 km from the original, separated by 4000 years. The sunset alignment on the Winter Solstice (21st June) is amazing but we missed it due to returning to Perth on that day.
Lucky Bay is the best place to see kangaroos, especially in the early mornings and late afternoons when they are most active. We missed them because we arrived in the middle of the day. It's also a great spot for swimming, fishing, and camping.
Climbing Frenchman Peak involves a challenging 3 km, 2-hour return walk to enjoy stunning coastal views from its 262m summit. However, we couldn't climb because we didn't have enough time. We had to drive back to Perth, an 8-hour trip, and started driving at 2:00 pm after having chatpate around 1:00 pm.
