I started watching Phil & Alex when Callie was tiny and then she had to have her hip braces. Love watching your family grow and embrace the homestead life, Alex always said she wanted a cow and now all your dreams have come true. Princess Buttercup was so worried when seller left, but give her few hrs and she realised she was safe and very much loved member of the Congelliere Family. ❤🐄🐕🐈⬛🐥🐓

Adorable! Heads up in case nobody else tells you, cows will try to eat literally anything whether it's edible or not so watch her closely with the pool noodles! My 4H cows tried eating the side mirrors on my rig and broke it. All I could do is laugh.

And to add to this, you need to pick up all the strings from the hay bales and pull the strings off of the 3 bales because she will eat them as well as the wire on the smaller bale.
@carmensaid3909

I’m glad you pointed the strings, i lived on a farm for 22 years and I learned by closely watching cows , sheep and pigs that they will chew on anything. Also with the children please be aware that gentle as she is, her sheer strength/weight can hurt them. May The Lord continue to bless your journey.

Hello Cindy how are you doing
Buttercup what a great cow name. It's a awesome thing to be able to become a homestead providing for your nutritional needs and the education the while family will have as time passes.
OH MY GOODNESS! Buttercup is sooooo pretty! Those EYES!!! And a calf on the way💖! I don’t know how you have time for all you do, Alex! You and Phil are SUPER PARENTS!!! Love you all 💖💖💖💖💖!
Watching you go from that tiny little balcony in CA to this amazing land for your babies has been incredible
Our daughter just got a sweet, lovely cow that they rescued from a deplorable situation. Cows are just so special.💖👍🙏🐻❄️🐄
Bevare out for the strings on the grund, that can be dangerus for the cow,If she eat it.
Do you plan on getting another animal to keep the cow company? Cows are very social animals! Every time we introduce a new cow all our cows run over to it to greet it. It’s really cool to see how they interact with each other! Princess buttercup is such a pretty cow! I can tell you guys will take great care for her!
I already love her, how sweet is she! Crying when her old owner left, she is so smart. Awe...
I started following your family back just before you adopted Kinsley. Its so amazing how much your family has learned and done over the years. CONGRATULATIONS on Princess Butter Cup! She's a very sweet cow! LOVE and PRAYERS ALWAYS from Gainesville Florida.❤🙏😊🙏❤

Hello Danette how are you doing
I once worked on a small dairy farm (there was an office trailer right in the middle!) with about 10-12 jersey cows. Someone brought grass clippings to one of the cows once and there was burdock in the clippings. Apparently, it's not good for cows. He got so sick with bloat - poor guy. The farm vet saved him, but just something to toss out there. Buttercup is gorgeous!!!

I was going to mention the same thing. Bloat is real.
I get “No stream.. Tap to retry” wen I click on this video… Am I the only one or is it the same for everyone else?? xxx
She is so cute!!! My first thought was Alex is going to camp with the cow since she isn't inside and I'm all here for it! Hugging a cow helps depression and camping with a cow could be a business opportunity lol

Congratulations! I'm sure you guys have realized it by the time you posted but that water bowl is only 1 slurp for a cow. "As a rule of thumb, consumption will range from 1 gallon per 100 pounds of body weight during cold weather to nearly 2 gallons per 100 pounds of body during the hottest weather. Lactating cows require nearly twice as much water compared to dry cows"
She’s beautiful!!! Even Chloe was excited for the new family member!!!
Omg the sweet little swirly cowlick right between her eyes. She’s beautiful! Congrats guys! 💕
Ohhh this was so sweet! Buttercup is such a beauty! It will be an exciting journey to learn about her life, what she likes and what not. I am looking forward to it! I also love how down to earth you guys are. You don’t need fancy stuff to impress your followers, it’s just your personalities and your open minds that are fascinating! I appreciate it very much! Greetings from Germany ❤️
So happy for you guys and your new cow. They are so much fun. Just wait until she calves. Having a baby calf around is so much fun. The sooner you can catch them and get them familiar with everyone the more friendly it will be. You can also try supplementing a bottle of her mommy's milk so the kids can bottle feed it. FYI cow manure is so wonderful for the land but keep in mind that cows will not eat where they poop. It needs to be mixed with grass clippings or staw, Scrapps from your garden, etc. that helps it decompose. Then you can spread it on your pasture as fertilizer. We also turn it under the soil which works great too. Cows are very social and love attention. We used to have a big Angus Bull we named Tommy who sat like a dog and love being brushed and talked to. He would follow us everywhere even when he got to be 2800 lbs! Have lots of fun with Daisy!👍
I mean, look at her sweet face and beautiful eyes. 😍 Buttercup is amazing and I think she might need another cow friend. Best wishes 🌻🌾
She is a beautiful cow, so sweet! Congratulations
what a great cow she will be just please keep all twine picked up

Cows drink a lot of water, maybeLook for a cattle water trough on the marketplace. Maybe pick up a hay rack to keep the good hay mostly off the ground. Cows eat metal too. She is a beautiful cow. Hope her gestation and birth go well.
Oh she's so pretty with her eyelashes and markings!!! What a beautiful girl for a beautiful family! I'm so happy for you all living the dream.
So excited for your growing homestead! Princess Buttercup is so darling! What fun for the whole family!
My heart 🥺 when she started moooing seeing him leave! She needs a friend ☺️
What an amazing creature our G-d created and entrusted to your sweet Family! Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see the progress continue! ♡
Poor cow needs a friend asap! They don't do well alone!
Watch Dr. Pol, you'll see everything you need to know about cows and there illnesses. Firstly, remove the bailing string I see on the ground. Remove the hose rack as she will surely cut herself on it. Remove all things she could and would potentially eat...that she shouldnt. Let the cow trim your grass instead of mowing? She's beautiful ! Good luck with her.
It really shouldn't matter whether or not people think it's an "real homestead." You don't have anything to prove, don't give people that kind of power over you. BTW Cassidy is the cutest in that cow tee 😍

Hello Tmaug how are you doing
Aww she's beautiful. My aunt who has 10+ cows in her farm moves them around her acres of green grass. She ties them, leaves them out to eat grass at a different place in the morning then in the afternoon moves them again to another grass area. Keeps your grass green and growing and keep cow producing milk. She ties them to a stick she inserts in ground, using a rock to pound it in. Well, just letting you know to keep your grass growing and to keep her eating during these hot months when grass gross vastly.
The right answer is yes, you should get another cow. Cows are herd animals and shouldn't be alone. Congrats on your cow! I raise and milk mid and mini size jerseys and I breed for good family milk cows. You are gonna have a LOT of learning but you are up for it!!
She’s beautiful! Your gratefulness and joy is contagious! ❤️
Congrats guys on building your animal family! Can you guys believe it!!! So happy for you guys 🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It's always uplifting to see people fulfilling their dreams and it's fortunate that you both appear to be on the same page. I grew up in a Midwest farming community back in the 1950's- 60's. As smaller family farms have been disappearing, that way of life has taken on a new attraction for a lot of people. Along with many of my childhood friends, I couldn't wait to escape the confines of farm life. We felt so tied down with the endless work, responsibilities and the worries of it all. My dad had to work a full time job just to keep everything going. He worked so hard, but farming meant so much to him. My mother was never very happy with that way of life, even though she grew up on a dairy farm. My husband and I live in a rural area and own acreage which we love, but limit our homesteading to a big garden and a couple of rescue dogs. Best of luck to your homesteading family!

Sounds like how my parents grew up in a tiny town in WI. Momma grew up on a pig farm and my dad on a dairy farm, one hill over from each other. Chores to do before school made for them being called smelly farm kids among other things. Dad graduated in 1966 and went to GM to work. Mom graduated in 1967 and worked at Pennies. 68 they got married and 69 the best thing ever- ME. They both couldn’t wait to get off the farm. I have wonderful childhood memories on the farm. My dad is 1 of 12 so there was always cousins to play with. Grandma got a pony from a neighbor for me. We had a creek to play in. It was what I wish my four kids could have had. So even though my parents couldn’t wait to leave, they’re glad I have my memories.
Love your cap Phillip! Yes, girl dad all the way! Even the cow is female as I’d your beautiful Golden Retriever!! Blessed is he surrounded by women!❤️
She's is beautiful 🥰😘🤗!!! And many year's to lives a normal life.
How exciting! She is beautiful! Love your cow shirt! Definitely need one for each of the girls! Love when MiMi & PaPa visit! ♥️
Isn’t she a doll!!! I’m so happy for you guys!
When the music was playing and you were all watching the cow come into her new place, it reminded of a movie or like someone should start telling their memories of a time past! This is now though!
Heavenly Father I pray that you continue to shine Your Light on this family and their homestead in progress. Bless them so that they can continue to be the loving, positive God fearing people You created them to be and let THEIR love multiply. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen.
Can we get an update on the sweet kitty? Bet the kitty and the cow get along well. So cute!
Alex was that string I seen on the ground near the fence, if so pick it up as she may eat it. That will cause her all kind’s of problems and has the potential to kill her. Sorry to cause you alarm, but I would be devastated if I let that happen to you all. Oh my she gorgeous. ❤️

Cows need another cow, they dont do well alone. My buttercup was a shetland pony and she was a butterball.
Who thinks there will be blankets and pillows out with this sweet baby princess buttercup cause she can’t go in house they gonna be sleeping with her the first couple of nights . This family is the best congratulations. When I first got my filly many yrs ago I slept in the stall with her cause I didn’t want her alone and she was my world . Animals are the best
You are so right. You have the homesteaders heart long before you got land. We have had cattle most of my life and have had many favorite cows. Buttercup is truly the prettiest cow l have ever seen with such a sweet disposition to go with it. I heard Philip say the word embarrassed. I feel as long as you are learning and putting your heart into it no situation is embarrassing. I save embarrassment for when l treat someone badly. Then l should feel embarrassed. ❤
I teared up when her previous owner left and she was like hey where are you going 🥺
Buttercup is just precious! Can’t wait to see her grow with your family! ❤️🐮
I’ve been waiting for this video soo bad! And now I’m soo happy for you Alex and Phil. When I started watching you way back in your apartment back in CA and you talked about your dreams I was so excited for the future for you. And now after a couple years you have your own lil farm growing and growing… don’t dream your dreams -> live your dreams! Thank you, for showing me that I can live my dreams when I believe in them and believe in myself. Keep going🤍🌱🐮
She is so beautiful, I’m so happy for all of you. Enjoy Buttercup❤️❤️
Once a cow has a calf, even a tame docile cow can become very dangerous especially with little kids around. My lil neice was very lucky after being ran over by cow that she wasn't hurt. My family has raised cows for generations and I told my brothers kids not to be in the cow pen with calves but my sister in law who thought she was a cow expert said no it was fine and told her kids 7 and 3 that it was safe shortly she said that my 7 year old neice was thrown through the air into a wire fence. It was a miracle that she wasn't seriously injured.
Congratulations, princess buttercup is beautiful. I think she is the perfect addition to your family. May you all live a long healthy life together on your homestead.
You need to be sure to get rid of the twine around the bales...it wouldn't be good for Buttercup to swallow them! Diane in NC.
