I've been watching a lot about the Druze lately and other religious sects within Israel and they seem like pretty cool dudes and from the Islamic faith. Si where did it all go wrong for the mainstream Islamic faith that is totally opposite to the Druze peaceful approach?

@@russe19642Respectfully, idk where you got “peaceful approach” from The druze have always been fighters as long as they had power and weren’t subjugated to injustice. But our history is by no means clean. Druze factions massacred each other in the battle of Ayn Dara 1711, massacred maronites in the 1860 civil war, and again in 1975 with the damour massacre. Every religion is used to further political causes, it is only natural. Mainstream islam is smeared by western media because they are their enemies and are fighting against them. The druze don’t despite doing the same thing simply because we fight for israel and not against despite doing the same things (jihad and other)

I think it might be because they stand out more there, not driven to assimilate and allied to Jews, probably making them curious about our religion, which comes in peace. It might intrigue those who don’t know about Arab religious minorities throughout the Middle East thinking we’re all Muslim, the indigenous druze and Jews here seem to have respected and revered each other throughout religious history. They also stand out more there because they still live as groups in their Druze villages, as opposed to other nations where we’ve all assimilated. I’m Lebanese druze and this is what I’m thinking as I learn more about the Israeli druze. Super interesting location/part of our history that imo really represents how peaceful and tolerant we are as a religion. It’s also so interesting to compare to Lebanon’s political history and the way us Druze chose to establish our politics/alliances (bc the way of the nation/sects). In times like this where Lebanon’s under threat I wish the country was more tolerant of Israel, ofc without occupation and I’m glad we got our land back but I think it’s the path to peace! We can all learn a lot about religious tolerance and acceptance through Jews & Druze here

Hebrews Covenant - Part 1 (Hebrews - Chapter 3) 1) The Rest - For The Children of Israel The Children of Israel were in the wilderness for 40 years. They were enslaved to the Egyptians for many years - now they were looking forward to that REST. When they took their journey through the wilderness, they did not expect it to be as long as it was - but it was long because of their UNBELIEF. Even though God promised them a land of Milk and Honey, and that he would get them there, they were impatient and suffered many tests while they were on their way. Deuteronomy 12:9-12) "For ye are not as yet come to the REST and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you. But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you REST from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD: And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you." There was a REST for the people of God. Israel had to trust in their God, and believe what he would tell them; even though, it may not have been as simple as they may have expected. They were commanded to wipe out those SEVEN NATIONS that were on the other side even though those nations may have been stronger and more in number: The Children of Israel had to TRUST in THE LORD. Moses brought the Children of Israel to the PROMISED LAND, but JOSHUA led them inside the same. At the time of Joshua, they did not complete their mission. At the time of JUDGES, they not only did not completely wipe out those nations, but at times they had become like unto them. Centuries later in the time of The KINGS, David wrote Psalm 95 - and in that Psalm, David wrote, Psalm 95:8-11) "Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my REST." That REST that GOD promised the Children of Israel never occurred due to their UNBELIEF. This is a KEY to understand what GOD was talking about when he talked about REST for the people.

Hebrews Covenant - Part II (Hebrews - Chapter 3) 2) The NEW COVENANT When God made that first covenant, it was with The Children of Israel: the Hebrews. This covenant was not with the world, nor other nations, although individuals could become proselytes. This covenant was not with The Church. This covenant was between God and the Children of Israel. A covenant was supposed to be an agreement between two or more parties which would constitute a pledge to DO certain things, and NOT DO certain things according to the covenant. The Children of Israel failed on their part. They broke the covenant that they had with God. Simple. God foreknew this, but he gave Israel their opportunity to hold their end of the bargain: they just did not do it. It was too difficult for them. This is why God had made that new covenant with them: that new covenant was a special covenant that would take DIVINE help for it to be completed correctly. In Jeremiah 31, God was literally talking to the Children of Judah, and the Children of Israel. There was nothing about a 'spiritual Judah' or a 'spiritual Israel', but a literal Judah and Israel... Jeremiah 31:31-34) "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE Of ISRAEL, and with the HOUSE Of JUDAH: [Note: Literal, not figurative or spiritual] Not according to THE COVENANT that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which MY COVENANT they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: [Note: The Children of Israel broke the COVENANT with God] But this shall be THE COVENANT that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put MY LAW in their INWARD PARTS, and WRITE IT in THEIR HEARTS; and will be their and they shall be my people. [Note: The first time, he wrote it on stone... the ten commandments. God did not desire his law to remain on the stone, but their inward parts.] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." When Jesus Christ died on the cross two thousand years ago, that was the blood that was required by God for the NEW COVENANT. Just as the first covenant required blood, but that blood was the blood of bullocks and goats - the NEW COVENANT was with the blood of THE LAMB: The Lord Jesus Christ. When studying God's Word it is important to understand the 3-Key: 1) Who is speaking 2) What is being said 3) Who is being addressed When this is understood, then the Word of God becomes more clear. When the Apostle wrote to the Corinthians, it means he wrote literally to the Corinthians. When he wrote to the Galatians, it means he literally wrote to the Galatians. When he wrote to the Philippians, it means he literally wrote to the Philippians. When the Apostle wrote to The HEBREWS, he literally wrote to the HEBREWS. Not, Hebrew Christians; although they were included; not Hebrew unconverted Christians, although they were included, but HEBREWS. This means HEBREWS. In The Book of Hebrews 3, that is who he is talking about; about the Hebrews: Hebrews 3:7-11) "Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into MY REST.)" [Note: This is literally speaking about the Hebrews, the Children of Israel when they were in the wilderness those forty years. Nothing spiritual or figurative.] Hebrews 3:16-19) "For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into HIS REST, but to them that believed not? So we see that they COULD NOT ENTER in because of UNBELIEF." [The carcases that fell in the wilderness were the ones that were in UNBELIEF. This was the key the whole time for the Children of Israel: the Hebrews.] The Children of Israel had never entered into THAT REST, but God promised them THAT REST by that NEW COVENANT that he promised to them, not the Church. When God makes a promise, he will very likely... hold to his promise. If a person could understand the 70 Weeks mentioned in Daniel 9, and that 69 Weeks have been completed at the death of The Messiah, then they also could understand that the 70th Week is still coming up, AKA, the Tribulation Period. It is understood that The Church has benefitted for nearly 2000 years in between the 69th and 70th Weeks. That 70 Week time-clock is for ISRAEL: and not The Church. If this could be understood that those 70 Weeks are for Israel, and The Church is inside the gap between the 69th and 70th Week - then it might be a little more clear to understand that The NEW COVENANT is also for ISRAEL, and not The Church. Just as The Church has benefitted between THE WEEKs, the Church has also benefitted between the Two Covenants. The rapture of The Church occurs BEFORE the 70th WEEK; and not Mid or End, but BEFORE. The Two Covenants, and the 70 Weeks are for ISRAEL, but The Church and much of the world CAN benefit from this. The Apostle explains that this is physical, natural Israel - and not spiritual or figurative. He states it plainly in Romans 11... the whole chapter, but I will go to part of it... Romans 11:25-27) "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness IN PART is happened to Israel, UNTIL THE FULNESS of the Gentiles be come in. And so ALL ISRAEL shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is MY COVENANT UNTO THEM, when I shall take away their sins."

Hebrew Covenant - Part III (Hebrews - Chapter 3) [Note: God's Covenant unto them: Israel, Hebrews...] Israel shall be born again, but they first must go through the 70th Week, and two-thirds of them will be killed - but the one-third shall be saved as the Prophet Zechariah mentioned... Zechariah 13:8,9) "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God." This is going to happen: this is going to occur. Nothing about it is figurative or spiritual, but it will be natural and physical. When they will be born again: that will be SPIRITUAL! When The Messiah told Nicodemus about being born again, he did not understand... John 3:2-10) "The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, YE must be BORN AGAIN. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?" [When Nicodemus came to him BY NIGHT, he said, 'We Know'...this was not just Nicodemus that wanted to know. When Jesus Christ answered him, he said that a man must be born again; and also YE must be born again. YE is plural. The Lord Jesus was not only speaking to Nicodemus with that message. If they knew - what they should have known, then Nicodemus needed not come to the RABBI. The Lord Jesus was letting him/them know that Israel needed to be born again as a nation as mentioned in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and in Ezekiel... Ezekiel 36:24-28) "For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God." [This is God's promise to Israel: he will be the one to cause them to be BORN AGAIN; and that is SPIRITUAL.] Please believe in The Word of God. The Lord Jesus paid the price. Believe. This is the end of this part and Hebrews 3 - I plan to go to Hebrews 4.

Hebrews 4:1-11 The Promised Rest (Continued from HEBREWS 3 comments) Hebrews 4:1-11) "Let us therefore FEAR, lest, a PROMISE BEING LEFT US of ENTERING into HIS REST, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was THE GOSPEL preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did NOT PROFIT them, NOT being MIXED with FAITH in them that heard it. For WE WHICH HAVE BELIEVED do ENTER INTO REST, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into MY REST: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the SEVENTH DAY on this wise, And God did REST the SEVENTH* DAY from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall ENTER INTO MY REST. Seeing therefore IT REMAINETH that SOME MUST enter therein*, and they to whom it was first preached ENTERED NOT in because of UNBELIEF: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus [that is, Joshua] had given them REST, then WOULD he NOT AFTERWARD have spoken of another DAY. There remaineth therefore a REST TO THE PEOPLE of God. For he that is entered into HIS REST, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let US LABOUR therefore to ENTER into THAT REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." Many scholars, preachers, and teachers use these verses to say the 'WE have that REST in JESUS.' In a sense, that is true. We do have a REST in THE LORD JESUS. Once again: 1) Who is speaking? 2) Who is being addressed? 3) What is being said? Who is speaking? The Apostle Paul, by The Holy Ghost. Some people say it wasn't Paul...so be it. Who is being addressed? The Hebrews...the Children of Israel. What is being said? There is a REST for THE PEOPLE OF GOD. The apostle brought up THE REST that Moses mentioned in Deuteronomy 12:9-11 - Moses told that people that they did not enter into their REST yet: it was going to be when they cross the Jordan River. This REST was God's REST for the people. It was a TRUE blessing for them. They had been captive to the Egyptians all those years, then 40 years in the Wilderness: now a REST. The part where Israel missed was: they did not wipe out the seven nations that they were commanded to wipe out. They did not enter that REST yet. The Apostle mentions DAVID speaking of THAT REST. David was centuries after MOSES. This means they did not enter into that REST. This rest had nothing to do with the nations; and this rest had nothing to do with THE CHURCH. This REST was a SPECIAL REST for the PEOPLE OF GOD, the Children of Israel --- and it will be in their 'Born-Again' state as mentioned by the prophets Jeremiah and Ezekiel. A ROYAL NUGGET IN A ROYAL NUGGET IN THIS REST The Sabbath. The Sabbath means 'The Seventh'; not 'One In Seven', but 'Seventh'. The Apostle mentioned God RESTED on THE SEVENTH DAY. In Psalm 90 - the Psalmist mentioned how a thousand years are as yesterday to God in verse 4. The Apostle Peter somewhat quotes this psalm as replies, in 2 Peter... 2Peter 3:8) "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." From the time of Adam until now has been about 6000 years, or six days - the seventh is coming. It still gets better. In the Gospels when The Lord Jesus did some miraculous work on the SABBATH, the Pharisees found fault. When the disciples of the Lord were eating corn of wheat from the field on a Sabbath, the Pharisees found fault. What did The Lord answer? In Matthew 12:8) "For the Son of man is Lord even of THE SABBATH DAY." In Mark 2:28) "Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of THE SABBATH." In Luke 6:5) "And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of THE SABBATH." This gets me very emotional. GOD's REST is not only a REST for THE PEOPLE of GOD, but during that Millennial (Messianic) Kingdom, The FATHER will REST; and THE SON will be called to rule: This is where HE WILL not ONLY be known as LORD OF LORDS and KING OF KINGS per John in the book of REVELATION but, "THE MIGHTY GOD, the EVERLASTING FATHER, THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS by the prophets Isaiah and Malachi. (Isaiah 9:6 and Malachi 4:2); and he will be called, "THE LORD TSIDKENU" by the Prophet Jeremiah 23:6; and THE LORD SHAMMAH by the Prophet Ezekiel. Right now he is known by some; therefore, "The Bright and Morning Star" (Revelation 22:16) - but in the Messianic Kingdom, he will be known as DIVINE by ALL as the SUN of RIGHTEOUSNESS! (Aren't these ROYAL NUGGETS inside of ROYAL NUGGETS)?

Israel - Defenseless against Smiles It has been nearly six months since the conclusion of Operation Guardian of the Walls, the latest round in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. On the surface, things have been quite calm since then. But nothing is ever truly quiet in the Middle East. Israel's enemies have gotten smarter and understood that they can destroy Israel much faster and without firing a single shot by simply smiling and pretending to want peace. Because we feel we always feel guilty of some sin, we fall for anyone who gives us a friendly smile, even if we know there is a knife behind their backs. That's just the way we are; the smartest people on the planet are absolute fools when it comes to matters that really matter. Our enemies across the Gaza border have learned their lesson. Through diplomacy and pressure on various political entities, they raise funds and promote government decisions in Israel that enable them to take over the country from within. Their ultimate goal has not changed. They strive to rid the country of Jews. The only thing that has changed is how they intend to achieve that goal. They have realized that they cannot defeat us on the battlefield, so they will fight us with words and smiles instead of guns and rockets. Israelis, who always feel they have to justify their existence, cannot resist a non-Jew smiling at them. It is an affirmation that "we are OK." Even if the knife is hidden in plain sight, we do not want to see it and believe in the sincerity of our "partner." Because we always feel guilty, indebted to the world, we are utterly gullible and all our business skills and acumen fly out the window as soon as someone eases our perpetual guilt trip. There is no cure for this malignant folly except to understand why we feel guilty and what we should do about it. Every Jew feels deep inside that we Jews owe something to the world, and that sensation causes us to make mistakes. Therefore, we must understand the nature of our debt, which is really quite simple: We must stop setting an example of division and mutual derision, and instead become a model of mutual responsibility and love of others. Over the generations, we have given numerous "gifts" to the world. Jews have been responsible, in whole or in part, for the development of almost every ideology, religion, and technology over the past two millennia. Yet the world has not been grateful. The only legacy that the world truly sees as meritorious is our social legacy, which advocates mutual responsibility and love of others to the point that one loves one's neighbor as oneself. Everyone agrees that these ideas are commendable. However, everyone equally agrees that they are unachievable because human nature is evil to the core. This is where the justification for our existence comes in. The Jews are the ones who must prove that "Love your neighbor as yourself" is not a lost cause, but an achievable goal. If we demonstrate the merits of love of othe rs in our own society, the world will not doubt our right to exist as a sovereign nation. On the contrary, it will preserve and cherish our sovereignty since it will see in us an example to follow, and it will want to learn from our example. The future of our country does not depend on sophisticated defense systems. These are necessary for the time being. For a permanent solution, the guardian of our wall can only be our unity, our love for one another. It will protect us not because it deters others, but because it brings them closer to us and shows how they, too, can acquire today's most required commodities: mutual responsibility and love of others.

This has nothing to do with Judaism, our history is Palestinian and many of us support Palestinians. And the Druze I know, feel that they are actually of Jewish ancestry. There is no and never was any conflict between Jews and Druze. Israel is a JEWiSH state; why do we need to speak any other language other than Hebrew UNLESS you want to? That is like demanding that the English speak some immigrant language of some minority because they are 20% of the population!!??

I have no idea what you're taking about. The Druze and ALL people are treated equally in Israel.
