Meerkats play fight to learn hunting and fighting behaviors. If anything, this was a good training situation. They got to practice all the right behaviors with none of the risk. Some may be more confident in the future, but that’s easily balanced out by the increase in experience (especially the younger ones getting drilled on mob behaviors).

Living on the marvellous continent of Africa that is so awe inspiring, allows us to go out to the most remote parts of the the vast bush lands and spend hours in perfect silence, except for the unique sounds of of the wild bush and within that wildness, we are able to see the marvels of this amazing continent, such as these amazing meerkats. Truly a gift.

I wish they still aired Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. Aside from being downright adorable, they have really fascinating family dynamics, and the stories of their day-to-day lives are genuinely more dramatic and entertaining than most soap operas and sitcoms.

Hope this won't desensitise them to the real danger of the real cobra, BBC.

"An intimidating wall of meerkats" Me: Oh my gosh they're so cute!

She was so brave! She was willing to give her life for the colony.

Having this snake there can harm the meerkats in the future. One of them might remember the relaxed cobra and think another is the same way

I love how the meerkats watch each other’s backs

These are the cutest things on Earth!

They are intimidating and adorable. But also brave of them. I feel kinda proud of them for doing that.

Its wrong teaching the young meerkats that cobra isn't dangerous. Next time it finds real cobra it will go "hey wassup cob" 😂

i was thinking the same thing but hey, we grew up watching the Lion king and still we aren't stupid enough to go and try to hug a real Lion.
