Medieval Spike Dagger VS Armor | Response to Todd Cutler and Matt Easton | Sparks Forge Review
Спорт
The rondel dagger was a staple weapon used by the knights and men-at-arms of Europe during the medieval period. This dagger was designed to bypass types of armor when soldiers clashed and grappled with each other. We had a custom rondel made by Robert of Sparks Forge and Workshop so we could test its efficacy against some samples of armor we had in our club's armory.

Nice video - from memory the steel sheet we used was 16 gauge/1.5mm.

Thanks Matt! Oh gotcha good to know. Tod's Dagger (and your technique I'm sure) were pretty damn strong 💪 then

Just rewatched video. Tod said 1.2mm or 18 gauge.
Really interesting video! I've been watching some of your videos and it's really been making me want to learn more about medieval weaponry and the such. Thanks for introducing me to something I enjoy!
Great video thank you for sharing

Thanks for watching!
I keep seeing these rondel demos and no one uses the round disk pommel and a second hand to push the dagger through the mail. It doesn't seem to be a stabbing or slashing weapon, but for pushing.

They very much did in that Todd and Matt collab. It worked a treat.
