@Arcojin - Carlos H. You are correct Plauge Doctors didn't wear the iconic masks till the 17th century. A plauge doctor in the era of the Black Death would've worn an oversized leather coat with a hood, drench head to toe in lavender oils. People of the past were convinced disease was associated with bad odors (the aforementioned masks had sprigs of rosemary in the nose). Interestingly the constant reapplication of oils may in fact have washed off germs and maybe the basis for contemporary reports of doctors having low rates of sickness.

I always laugh at that line 😄 If it was real life, there is a high chance that they would have gotten a skin rash from touching the plant while harvesting it. Every part of hemlock is toxic and any form of exposure (breathing the pollen, skin contact, etc.) can be a hazard.

Thirteen was almost like the daughter or niece that House never had. She understood him, and made an extra effort to assist him in his cases willingly, as well as aiding in his quest for mental and spiritual peace. I really liked that aspect of hers. Had she lived in a different time period, I'd say that she'd fit right in the period of enlightenment. She revolutionized and perfected the Teaching Hospital's technique. She was also a very empathetic character, yet flawed, which made her human.

But compared to the more well known British accent, I disagree that the American accent is closer. Both accents retained different things from Renaissance English. For example: Americans pronounce the "r" more at the ends of syllables, but the British are better at pronouncing "t" in the middle of words.

Either way, it wouldn't be more historically accurate for someone to break out in modern RP at a Renaissance Fair.

@@godowskygodowsky1155 Hmm. No, I'd still have to say that West Country is the closest to Early Modern English, but Hiberno English is surprisingly close too. It is true that GAE has more of the flatter vowel sounds compared to RP, but GAE also has recent vowel mergers not present in RP. Overall, they aren't 'exactly' divergent from EME, so I think it would be fair to say that GAE is closer if we had to pick one. However, it's not to an extent where I'd say it's 'wrong' to instead choose RP for the sake of historical accuracy. Just as an excuse for House to use his real accent, it would've been fine.

House must be an OP DND character. His wisdom and intelligence, through the roof, he’s actually rather well sized physically, he’s not a small fellow, despite his leg. He’s no Barbarian or straight fighter, but he could definitely take a hit. He wouldn’t fit into any straight cut class roles, that’s for certain, he’s smart enough to be a powerful wizard, has Warlock charisma, although he does do karaoke that one time so he could even pass as an angry bard. House is like an endgame boss, or maybe that wise crazy character you see on your journey who you aren’t meant to fight, and if you do he just slaps the party in one shot with magic bs.

That's because insurance only pays them for X amount of time. It's a ridiculous system, built on false economies. Sure, you might save a little money by getting docs to see more patients, but if they can't properly diagnose and treat them in that time, you're setting the stage for advanced and extremely-expensive illnesses that could have been caught and managed early. This is part of why single-payer is a far-superior system.

This is absolutely a valid argument; however noone can't decide for another person what happiness should be like for him/her. This guy basically took her agency away deciding FOR her what her happiness should be. His main argument was money and that her fiance could ''take good care'' of her. Lol, is she a princess or a child, is she not capable of taking care about herself? And I am not talking about ''feminism'' or current trends, just common sense and basic rules - you don't get to decide for other person. If they talked and she explicitly said that she would like to stay with her fiance - then it would be noble, sure. In this case - he's beign a martyr and arrogant one by deciding for other people. And a coward/

@@ParaworldFan99 I understand your point, maybe you' re right (and in this case it is noble, sure) but it wasn't clear from the episode actually if that girl was happy with her fiance. In fact , it was implied that the girl also had some feelings for him, she chose him as her knight, she spent way too much time with him at the hospital, even 13 noticed that. They never made it clear. And girl's fiance aka King had some jealousy towards the knight so something was there. Even the way she looked at the knight, it's not how friends look at each other. Sure, she still stayed with her boyfriend but it was hinted that if the knight made a move or at least confessed his feelings, she might have reconsidered her choice. I think he made the choice based on his idealistic concepts (that knights can't look at King's wife etcetera) and his fear that he was not good enough for her. I don't think he really knew if she was happy, I think he convinced himself of that to justify his indeciviness. Anyway, that's just how I see it

Eugeniya Leshenko In equal fairness, I don't believe she ever offered either. You don't play safe by staying in a relationship and trying to land the guy honoring it and a good friend. He's not taking away her autonomy. She's not exercising it. Which is why House and 13, who don't hold to any honor system, and will backstab friends and allies, are insulting him - although its weird I don't recall them calling her on it but its been years. Point is they can be kings, but like most kings their seeking out that position in that manner is a large mark against their having it

@Mike Wazowski I must protest sir, in the strongest possible terms your absurd reductionism of the dimensional significance pertaining to the perspective generated by the immediate linear interlocutor. The correct form, dear sir, is the oblate.

This TV show has watched to many TV shows and movies. You never force your way through a door using your shoulder you kick it in, at the lock too makes sense. Chases’ method calls for a very sore shoulder and possibly a broken something.

I strongly disagree with Thirteen here. Will is being a good bro to Miles. You don’t go after your best friend’s girl, period. And a gentleman never goes after anyone who’s already taken.
