Medieval Faire Jousting and Mounted Combat - TN Ren Fair
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Jousting and mounted combat demo/skit (probably more on the skit side) at the May 2017 TN Ren / Medieval Faire. The guys (and horses) had a great time hamming it up, and no one was injured. Huzzah!

I took a break from making jewelry this weekend to attend the Renaissance faire in town. I'm thinking of setting up a booth next year with circlets and what-not... assuming I can get enough made ahead of time!

That sounds great! Hope you can do it!
It’d be so funny to see a jousting play-by-play like with other sports.
Looks like we may live in the same town. I didn't realize, when I subscribed to your channel that we may know one another!
Some claim that there is "zero skill" involved with Jousting, that the sport is nothing more than "one dummy trying to knock ANOTHER one off a horse with a stick." But I ask you...who among us could sit still well enough on a horse WHILE wearing body armor that weighs several pounds, riding at 25 MPH holding a shield in one hand and a lance in the other? Sounds like there's plenty of skill involved

As someone who used to ride casually, I can attest that simply staying on the horse while galloping would be difficult enough for the untrained, let alone everything else you mentioned!
have you ever been to the Texas Renaissance Festival? you should go. their jousting arena is really big. lol well the whole place is huge. we take our TRF pretty serious. they just keep adding and adding lol.
