I love you, but here are some tips nobody talks about You can use the gravel road tool to get rid of annoying rocks in your way, build the path through the debris, then delete, then build, 60% of the time, it works everytime They tell me if you dont dig up the stumps, they regrow after 2 years, but it feels like actively culling the birch saplings you dont want, and leaving the maple saplings you do, you can cultivate your own forests, honestly I think I might be wrong and crazy about that, but it feels like I have been cultivating good amounts of maple Nobody talks enough about how good the spot between gostovia and denica is, right by the river, ample everythong, right next to a boar spawn for the hunting missions, everytime I have to go to gostovia I get to walk thru the clay puts, great for dauber, great for the clay pot money Here's a great tip, CLAY POT MONEY!!!!! clay pots with st John's wort for 60 a pop, very easy to make, unlock it and let the workshop do it for you, very easy money I swear there's so much they don't let you know that will change everything Get a flat brim straw hat asap, it works for both hot and cold seasons Don't waste a ton of money early on unlocking high level metal tools when you don't have the means to keep yourself in surplus Sure, it's annoying having to make a million stone knives, both for cash, and for meat, but you just gotta do it my man, until your guys make enough surplus so thay you don't Fk I could start an ama at this point, maybe I should A lot of what syrup says is much more informed and up to date then that other guy from two years ago that shows up in the search bar Fk me, last one, whoever said that spears are better than bows should bite a fat one cause he doesn't know how to fight, watch your map, learn your spawns, never let yourself get into a terrible situation, know where the wolves and bears are, the only interaction you should ever have with them is lining up your bow, dialing the shot in, and letting it loose in their stupid wolf brain for a one tap, easy clean, handful of meat Bears are something else cause they don't go down easy so you better be ready to bob and weave, so know your terrain, know the bow your using, be prepared to maneuver, then you make bears more annoying and time consuming then dangerous Nvm, sorry, last tip is the the bow tip Be calm, find your target, creep up on them don't be dumb like me and mistake your jump button for your crouch button, or you scare every animal in the forest and go to bed hungry Be calm, get on their flank, get a great angle on their temple, or forehead if you feel like living dangerously Line up your shot, notch the arrow, dial it in, never hold pulled for too long, should be one fluid motion, pull back, let loose, then harvest Every shot I take now has turned into the mantra, 'line it up, dial it in, let it loose' and youll make the mark, telling ya,your eye knows where to aim, just flow with it

Today I killed 2 bandits with one taps each with a bow. I've had to use a few spears to take down a boar (my first time I assumed spears would be better, too. Plus they're easier start of the game.) Bows are _way_ better!

I've noticed a good thing about having kids in the game is that obviously your villagers are gonna age, so if you have them have children, those children can take over the jobs of their parents eventually and I actually love that being a factor of my gameplay

I play on XBOX. I am working hard to promote myself. I have so many question. And yes this 58 year old man games every day. How do you make salted meat? Do you have to store materials and tools for a specific craft in that crafts storage box or do you put the resources in the resources storage building? Thanks. I am new to MD. I recently finished Sub Nautica Below Zero after completing every map in ARK. I am really enjoying this game and your work helps me so much.

If you want to do it manually its a barrel between the drying rack and workbench in the hunting lodge. Or put villagers to the task in the lodge to make it via the production tab. Note that you need Salt in the resource storage and they will pull it automaticallt when they gather the meat and salt it for you.

1 thing I did not know, by year 7, I had a fully automated settlement that produced all the food, wood, tools, water, etc that it needs. So basically, I had nothing left to do but fix buildings when they broke. 50 adults, 29 kids, set seasons to 1 day, played until my kid was 18, retired and got my last achievement, play as an heir. Got 1 million coins by selling iron hammers and extra crops my people made for me. Fun game but automating everything kills it.

You don’t have to fix building yourself if you have unlocked the builder’s hut. Yeah, after everything is automated the only thing is to ensure the economy of your village is growing and to stay alive until your son turn 18 😊

interesting. we have separate views on the night. i often tell people not to waste the night time and get things done that you dont need daylight for or fast complete resources that are piling up when NPCs cant complete them quick enough. It is true that you dont get tech points when ur villagers are asleep but you can still get stuff down quicker at night and save daytime for tasks that require you being able to see, like building and field placement. though if you have access to night vision potions thats not an issue either.

I've been trying to figure out at what what level of "work output" does a worker begin to become unhappy? For example, I have my wife named "Amelia" (who does excavation), set to 82% output right now (she works alone), and she's actually quite happy because she loves her job. However, I have a farmer who doesn't like his job that much set to 80% output (although by default he was a level 3 farmer & he works with one other farmer who enjoys it). This guy hates his job. His happiness depletes quicker. I'm guessing it's mainly because he might not like farming although it was his highest rated skill.

Thanks for these tips! I remember someone telling me that higher skill workers will help lower skill workers level faster if they're in the same building together but I wasn't sure if that was true or how it worked. Farmers are still a bit puzzling to me. You said that their skill level doesn't affect their performance in any way but how is their xp gain calculated? In my game I first recruited someone as a Barn Worker to work continuously on producing fertilizer to keep up with the piles of manure coming from my pigs. Then not long after that I recruited an actual Farmer to manage the fields. They both started at level 3 and even though the Farmer came a bit later she leveled to 4 before the Barn Worker.
