MEDIEVAL ALTER WITH A LION, A CRADLE AND A HELL’S GATE!

Why do keep reading me? For self-development and new knowledge, I assume.
And psychologists assert that for continual growth, it's crucial to regularly praise oneself, yet without forgetting that the main achievements still lie ahead and there's always something to aspire to. Today's video will help you with both.
Before you is a magnificent 15th-century altar from the Alte Pinakothek in Munich.
The average viewer might not understand much of it.
But you, having already endured the rigorous art history schooling by Alexei, will discern the attributes-and identify at least two of the depicted figures: Saint Jerome and the blessed Augustine.
And that's a reason to pat yourself on the back.
However, with the other two, things might get tricky: they are harder to recognize. Especially the human figure emerging from a fiery hole in the ground might leave you puzzled…
And this serves as a reminder of how much more there is for you to discover! With my help, of course.
In today's video, I explain how to recognize the figures on the altar, and I share a fascinating and instructive story about each one.
