Medieval 13th century castle - Kasteel van Ordingen. Castles in Belgium.

Ordingen Castle, locally known as Kasteel van Ordingen, lies in the in the village of Ordingen, town of Sint-Truiden, in the Flemish region in Belgium.
The first Ordingen Castle was mentioned in 1040. Сastle residents are mentioned in 1253.
In 1467 was destroyed during the Battle of Brustem. Was rebuilt later, then during the 16th century was transformed into a Renaissance style castle.
In the 17th century it was owned by Grand Commandery of the Teutonic Order.
In the beginning of the 19th it was sold it to a sugar merchant. His son, mayor of Ordingen, had the castle rebuilt in Flemish Renaissance Revival style.
In in 20th century castle underwent a complete restoration and has been transformed into a 5 star hotel-restaurant.
