In real life, she died of tuberculosis. But in the series, it seems to have been a miscarriage or maybe ovarian cancer.

In this show, seems to have died of internal abortion sepsis (probably the fetus/baby died, but was not expelled).

the lady who had the bag of money was a witness to a man’s death to which clarice’s husband ordered the murder of. she realised that lady has been paid off to keep quiet

She realized her husband was implicated in the murder at that moment. This is after she was told that Lorenzo had arranged a marriage for their young daughter and also learned of his impending death. I interpreted it as the final stab to her already broken heart, and as a woman of faith, she feared for Lorenzo's soul.

Viper687 Mae not exactly. I think she was in grief then she miscarried and died(in the scene you see so for tv series) but in real life Clarice died actually of tubercolosis.
