Congrats Rachel!!! For some reason, I find you to be very beautiful (both inside and out, without even knowing you in-person). Keep up the good work by educating us with your motivational videos. I am still completing my primary application, and just looking for money anywhere I can find it (even delivering food. That stuff is very expensive). Thank God that afford 10 MD schools for now, and I will be able to raise the funds for additional DO schools in about a month.

Hey I am from India and I m a resident in USA trying to get into pre med, haven't applied for mcat will do next year but while watching your videos give me alot of help how toh start something in this new country but also how do I shortlist colleges and also is it necessary to have a bachelor degree from USA or is it okay from another country. I m hoping you would respond I know I m pretty late to watch your videos but it's never too late. Take care ❤️

What job did you have in between undergrad and medical school and at what point during your undergrad did you begin that job?

Thank you! I use a canon rebel t5i with a 35mm lens. And then i use final cut pro to edit! There's a few things I played with to get the quality aside from the lens. I got a better SD card that has faster processing and it has more space, so it can take the quality that the camera records in. Then when i export my final video from final cut pro, I make sure it has good quality settings. I hope that helps!

LOL we only have 17 med schools in Canada... FML. Only eligible to apply to 3 this year due to stringent criteria... Happy for you!! Writing my MCAT on Aug 10th!

Don't apologize for the questions! :D Yes! Fall 2019. I am currently working at a hospital as a physical therapy aide! I did very minimal and basic research while I was in school. I don't intend to do much research as a physician, so I didn't find it appropraite to spend a buch of time doing research if I wasn't interested in it.I recommend having any type of patient care experience as possible. If you can volunteer in a hospital and interact with patients, do so. If you can get a job where you work in healthcare, even better. I also recommend finding non-healthcare related volunteer work. They want to see that you're well-rounded and not entirely focused on medicine and being a "cookie cutter" applicant. Really do some introspection and find out who you are as a person, what your goals are in medicine, and what you thoroughly enjoy doing outside of academia. :) Hope that helps. Hi Keana! I graduated from school with a BS in kinesiology, so that's basically the "precursor" of going to PT school. I had also worked as a chiropractic aide prior to the PTaide position, so I had some patient care under my belt. But other than that, no training/courses/certs were necessary!

Rachel: I feel like most of the people watching my videos are pre med people, or people applying to med school, or trying to take the mcat etc.. Me: Nope just still stuck in quarantine and one of the cutest girls I’ve ever seen showed up in my youtube feed 👀👀👀

Gloria adjayi Well first you need a bachelors degree, not in any specific field. I think you need to do research at your university, at lot of things you can google for more information. Im not entirely sure

Gloria adjayi no, but there are prerequisite courses you have to take, but the most basic major to have is Biology, but if you want to go to a specific med school look at their requirements and speak to advisors who can help a lot more than i can as im still new to this process as well.

Gloria adjayi of course! But seriously don’t be scared to visit the advisors as much as you need. I’m the first person in my family to go to college and who wants to be a doctor so i literally didn’t know anything about the process so, bug them if needed!
