Sir, with all due respect, and as a pulmonary and critical care physician caring for these patients, your negative opinion of Ivermectin is misleading at the least and dangerous at the most. Watching vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals get progressively worse despite the currently recommended therapies without trying additional interventions is wrong. Waiting for studies is not good medical care in the face of this emergency. The risk benefit analysis at this point strongly favors the use of alternative agents. Before going on KZread to pontificate on your point of view, have a face to face discussion with the family member of someone who is progressing and dying and explain to them that you're not going to try everything you can to save their loved one's life. I am deeply disappointed in this video. By the way, 30% of the patients with Covid that I saw this week were fully vaccinated.

For the life of me, I can't understand anyone specially doctors who are so narrow minded that in times like this don't want to search for all the options and possibilities we have to protect, prevent and treat people's (and our own) health. There are very efficient, cheap and safe ways to treat a viral infection during the early symptoms, and at home in order for the person not to end up in hospital. My friend's mum in Mexico (84 years old) had pneumonia and gave positive to covid , and the pneumologist resident in the residence where she was living told my friend that, her mum had almost no chances to make it, as she had always suffered from weak lungs, already with pneumonia, and her age. My friend mentioned Ivermectin, but the doctor said no, he recommended an antibiotic. She called a friend who is a doctor, and he told her to give her mum Ivermectin, Nitazoxanide, and something to lower the inflammation, also to keep her at home with oxygen. Fortunately, she listened to her friend, because her mum improved very fast after the first doses, and now she is doing great and just met her second great granddaughter (no side effects, nor lingering conditions after the pneumonia). My gratitude and admiration to you and all the health practitioners who really care for their patients.

Not your job to prescribe medicine, your job is to put what’s prescribed into a bottle and give it to the patient. Stay in your lane, whether you agree with it or not, it’s not your place to get between a patient and his/her doctor.

Then why does NIH have a meta-analysis of ivermectin that states it is effective in over 80% of cases?

Site to a clearinghouse of known ivermectin studies, copy-paste-Key-word terms: (Ivermectin real-time studies). Choose the page with largest number of studies for current update. Site has forest plots for numerous subgroups of studies as well as studies done for dozens of drugs commonly used in Covid-19 treatment (such as in the hospital setting). Currently has 78 (downloadable) peer reviewed studies, including 30 controlled-placebo based, many of which are double blinded RCTs

The current standard of care if you are positive is to go home and return to the ER if you can’t breathe. With over 3 billion doses of IvM used worldwide and a round 70 reported adverse reactions, it is one of the safest drug out there. If there is even a small chance that it works, why wouldn’t it be used to treat.
