Claudia is so knowledgeable about microneedling. She is the perfect choice to guide you on your journey. I've had to take a break from all microneedling on my face for a year. I did several rounds of medical in-office treatments for scar revision on my lower face and décolletage. This year I am on a journey with scalp microneedling. I use a roller, at cosmetic microneedling depths, along with LLLT and serums to see if I can maintain and hopefully increase my hair density and over all scalp and hair health. It was Claudia who finally "influenced me" to give it a go. Good luck on your needling journey.

@@SkinObsessedMary I use minoxidil as some research papers are actually recommending it in office post transplant! At medical depths of course… I have a pen but have stuck to cosmetic only 🐓😂… I really need to do a hair video. The Calecim cam in & that recommends stamping so …. I think I’ll switch it up and see how it goes .. fresh start in March perhaps 🤔

Congrats - so brave to do medical micro as your try w Dr Pen! I've been doing cosmetic micro w Dr Pen M8 the past 6 mos but was a bit scared doing medical micro as I thought it would hurt + need numbing cream (tho have done medical micro in-office). So happy to know I don't need to use numbing cream! Love the stamping technique from Claudia - she's amazing. Going to buy the 16-pin cartridge now!!

I was terrified, but it's honestly not as bad as you're probably thinking. And I had the best teacher for sure! Just did my third session last night (trying to stick to the 4-6 week schedule and I'm obsessed. At about the 3 or 4 week mark, my skin is glowing! I'm going to start cosmetic needling this week I think :)

Hi Mary, so glad I watched this as I too have the Dr Pen M8 and have the 36 cartridges and haven’t used it in ages. I didn’t realise that the 16 cartridges go deeper. Very informative..must purchase the 16 cartridges as I always wondered why it didn’t do much and wondered if I was doing it correctly. I will try the stamping method instead of dragging, makes sense. I also have been a follower of Claudia ❤ Thank you.

I haven't done a video update yet, but I can tell you I'm absolutely hooked. I noticed after about 4 weeks that my skin was GLOWING! I mean, no makeup kind of glow. I did my second round after about 5 weeks and I'm do another session next weekend. I will absolutely continue indefinitely. I'm thinking of adding cosmetic microneedling once a week, but haven't found a way to add in yet. Hopefully this weekend :)

Oh forgot to answer...yes, Salmon PDRN can be used. Anything that can be used for mesotherapy (which is where you inject product into the skin) can be used for or after medical microneedling. As long as it's designed to go into the dermis and is sterile 👍

It hurt the first time I did it so I’ve bought some numbing cream for next time.

I'm thinking about getting some myself! What did you get?

I started micro-needling in my late 30s for my multiple acne scars and discovered the magic on my wrinkles, too; people do a double take when knowing my age :). The only thing that doesn't work for me, which is disappointing, is that my necklines don't really react to the treatment. I guess I can't have it all yet :). I also follow Claudia, and another good YT to follow is Penny Smith (I think that is her name); she is a professional beautician who experiments with many treatments and products at home and for her practice. I subscribed to your channel to see you through your journey, and I will probably learn something from you too :). PS: I could never do the treatment without numbing my skin first, you are very brave!!

Hmm, I'd contact Dr Pen and see what they say. I'm not sure about the vibration tool (I personally wouldn't apply anything direclty to skin) but I do use LED after a session to help with healing/repair.

My dermatologist told me not to use a growth factor. Maybe because I have had a couple of skin cancers on my face. ???

It could be. From my understanding, there isn't enough research to definitively say either way, but maybe best to take your doctor's advise. I'd be all over peptides though!

Did you just put on without numbing cream and any type of agent to kill the bacteria? Can we use witch hazel?

I didn't use numbing cream myself. I thoroughly washed my face but didn't apply anything else. I wouldn't use witch hazel or anything that could penetrate my skin/open channels. It would burn.

After the procedure will the skin be quite red for days after. Can you apply facial cream and/or makeup the next day? Can I apply Triple hyaluronic acid and vitamin E? I know you said no vitamin C!

My face isn’t bad the next day but everyone is different. I don’t put anything on my skin for 2 days except growth factor (specifically suitable for mesotherapy) and La Roche posay B5 Balm. It can feel a bit dry and tight so this combo aids recovery and calms the skin

I am in LOVE. I do this religiously every 6 weeks and can tell you it's been a game changer! By about week 3 or 4 my skin is glowing. I can't imagine not having this in my regular routine.

It's SO worth it. I did my second session last weekend that's it - I'm hooked. While I don't necessarily enjoy the session, about 3 weeks after the first one, my skin was amazing! I didn't even wear makeup for days....just didn't need it.

My order sun level is high but my skin doesn’t really love it and the downtime is longer than what I hear it usually is. Have you been very regular with micro needling since that video?
