Can't charge him with murder. Cause the legal statue for that would be it was a pre meditated act, and he did the procedure sole with the intent to murder her, both of which are not true, at least I hope so. But negligible homicide perhaps. Just sayingm

I’m a medical malpractice defense attorney and this doctor’s actions are indefensible. Of course, that’s assuming the sister’s account is accurate. Anesthesia dosing is no joke. The fact that he transported her that way suggested he was trying to hide his error, which was probably a contributing factor in a patient already seizing.

  • @paradisesunprincess

Why are the doctor's actions indefensible? That news clip didn't even say what the cause of death was. The fact that he transported her in his personal vehicle suggests that it would have taken too long for an ambulance to come get her. That's why he took her himself

Melanie is a wonderful nurse and a very humble and nice person. We talked about her coming to the US to work about 2 months before I heard the news that she died. I was so looking forward to her coming. I pray that the family will get some justice from this case.

The doctor should have stayed with the patient and accompanied her to the hospital. Incompetence and negligence contributed to her death. There is more to this story, which only the doctor knows himself. He shouldn't be allowed to practice and hold accountable / charge. Surprisingly, an autopsy wasn't done. This goes to show that doctors covered for doctors. The police also played a part in the cover-up. Good on the family to pursue. The next step is to sue.

You see, this is the damn problem in that country. Once the person arrives dead, an autopsy is mandatory. Cuz law enforcement needs to know if foul play is a factor. Secondly, the patient should have been transported by ambulance so she could be stabilized on her way to the hospital. It seems to me the patient had died before she left the doctors office and there was an attempt to cover up what really happened. Now, to be fair, accidents do happen, but when a person lose their lives through medical negligence some one has to pay for that. One year suspension means nothing. What I find some of these doctors are doing they are taking on surgical cases in their private offices which should really be done on an outpatient basis in a hospital and people are needlessly losing their lives because of this.

Local anaesthetic toxicity????😢😢😢 Sounds like local anaesthetic toxicity.... could have been an extremely high dose or accidental intravascular administration. Even in a minor procedure done under local anaesthesia, the surgeon must know how to manage such a complication. If not, then a certified anaesthesist should always be present. One only has a few minutes with the right intervention to save the patient's life. My sincere condolences to this family. May God comfort you during this sad period.

My sister is i nurse and she was so out of it from the anesthesia she could not help her self. I was upset with the way they have patients laying in the waiting area for recovery. My sister was saying the anesthesia the anesthesia her gave me was not good. She was complaining how she was in a dark place from the anesthesia ..hours after recovery my sister could not help herself she had difficulty walking. Also I saw patient popping on themselves in the waiting area and I was fussing with the fat gir working there.. she's another person who is not fit to work with patients. She was laughing at my sister when she couldn't help herself from the anesthesia. Talking about ''hot gall no hot now"'.. my sister who's a nurse did say that the anesthesia he's using is not good. My sister exact word is it seems as if the doctor is using Street drugs to the way her head feels after the anesthesia.. i knew that Dr was no good from my sister visit.. my condolences to the family . Do not let that man get away with murder.. the system in Jamaica allows a kind of qwack doctor to enter the country and setup shop .

Sounds like local anaesthetic toxicity. Very very unfortunate circumstances.

Unfortunately, probably nothing major will become of this, unless it is about someone well known. That’s Jamaica

This is sad and scary. We are not sure if some of these doctors, based on this outcome, should be practicing.

@02:20 Was she intubated? If so, then you are supposed to give continuous breaths non-stop simultaneously with chest compressions. Unless you are the only one with the patient, then it's 30 chest compressions pausing to give 2 breaths.

Most times private doctors perform surgery by themselves..greedy n no want to share the money or employ additional people .smh

People can be allergic to anaesthesia, and it seems that is the case. Nothing could have saved her unless epinephrine was administered.

Where is the MINISTER OF HEALTH in all of this? As usual missing in action! Only when these malpractice affects the rich/Upper-class then serious actions are taken, but these malpractice happens daily to the lower class of Jamaicans, and there are no alarms!🤐

He will get no patients that's I can say. Also, the police did not have to be the one to order autopsy; the family should've insisted that one is done for their own closure 😢 This is why I'm so afraid of anesthetics, they even have to give this for doing colonoscopies and endoscopic procedures. I had to get sedated to remove my wisdom teeth and, to God be the Glory he kept and i am here today because of his grace and mercy. God, thank you for all that you continue to do and, i pray that you will hold the hands of all who pass through to see this today or anytime at all. Let us all come to ask for forgiveness and change our hearts to serve you, in Jesus's name, Amen.

Without pointing finger or being a racist this is a practice within the Indian race. Khan last name is an indian man. We had one in Grenada from india he was not khan but he was named the butcher. Every patient that went before that indian doctor he cut their chest down and they died on the say day no matter where the pain was coming from. One ten year old girl went for appendix and he split her chest she dies the same night. A wife went in for tummy pain, he split her chest, she died on the table. The husband went the same week for pain, he split his chest and he died that night. I was about 14 but I remembered the petition that was going around asking to send him back to India because he butchered thr patients. They said ever patient that went before him died because he split their chest. This give me a fear of Indian doctors you know and i will never go before one. I watch Indian doctor with a keen eyes and will refused any medical treatment from them no matter how good they are. I cannot forget the 10 year old who went to high school on Friday, took ill that weekend, went in for her appendix that same weekend and Monday morning we heard she was dead. We could not sure but we could get him out of our country. I trust Cubans doctor 100% over any doctor on rhe world because they do their jobs with love and not for money.

The sister or husband/N.O.K.can have an autopsy done privately. U hope they do it. The doctor taking lives not saving. He should not be allowed to practice until this case is finished and on house arrested should he intend to fly out. Kmt
