    Registered nurse here… Organs are typically transported by medical personnel for several very good reasons. Also, to transport organs, a person would have to be biohazard certified, with the appropriate signage on the vehicle.

    Is this also the case for transporting from a facility for research and education? I'm not a nurse, but I was a surgical tech for 10 years and a few places I've worked had sometimes had couriers that weren't medical professionals, but someone did have to meet them and escort them to lab/blood bank to be checked in. I also am wondering about tissues (like how the skin is technically an organ) for cryo-veins and things that won't see patients but are used for other things. It'd be interesting to know....without breaking HIPAA...

    Not so...I had signed up for one as an Independent Contractor- they give you a short training for HIPPA and another one I forget the name & that's it...the company has been in business over 30yrs...I didn't take it because they were shoddy about the pay..so, yeah

    Great informative video. I have followed both of your channels Mike and Shawn and usually learn alot; thanks. Now I have a question for you both or maybe anyone of your followers might be able to help me with on ideas. I used to do delivery gig work part of last year until my car broke down in a major way and I couldn't afford to fix it so I quit. I got a part- time job which I really don't like and am making the same as I was driving, so I figure I would like to get back driving again where I will be in control of my time. My question is since I don't have a strong enough vehicle to do deliveries, would it make sense for me to rent one, or would most of my money be going to the rental? I would like to do it maybe long enough, along with my current job to be able to afford another car, then ditch the rental and the part- time job & look into increasing gig work. What do you all think? I'll appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

    In my area DMV or at least Maryland the Medical side I found over the past few years the companies don't pay well compared to ones in say FL. Seems like they want most of the profit and they don't seem to get the runs like I hear from guys in FL KY and few others. Talking to just about all the ones I could find they don't give all drivers good orders, looks like you have to do all the crap to get the good ones. For me I want the freedom to do a few or a bunch when I want if they are available at the time I want to logon. Not different than most gig apps have freedom go online and off as you wish. Lets me do other things as needed and make more money. Roadie was on and off good b4 UPS took over, on and off ok orders for long runs but nothing or way to match up runs back. The companies that offer on there seem not to do all areas outside of roadie.

    Ideas for a video. Hey, do you know what happens with all the deliveries that don't get picked up with uber eats? Are drivers really picking up these orders that are like 3 bucks for 10+ miles? I see these all the time, no way they can be getting picked up. Driving me nuts with curiosity. What happens for things that don't get picked up? If an order is rejected does the pay go up slightly to the next driver or just never get picked up? Walmart orders are all over the place from insanely valuable to completely worthless. What causes that?

  • @YourDriverMike

    @YourDriverMike

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Zuraja yes typically pay increases to incentive driver pick ups over time (DoorDash calls it Dasher desirability). With Uber Eats if any area is being underserved most likely they’ll start to offer surge pay. I’m sure Uber has deep data on the “sweet spot” of pay vs acceptance rate

    The only problem I have is at the end where he is saying there was 1 million new millionaires last year. These people did not become millionaires by starting KZread channels and side gig hustles. These are people that were already almost millionaires and just ticked over the line. It's very misguided to insinuate that you can become a millionaire within one year or less of starting either of these things.

    Reinvesting the money into something else that makes you money is how "these people" became millionaires. I was like "ain't that a B"? Other guy keep getting orders back to back and when I see offer at exactly store I wanna take it was disappeared just a second I was like how the hell he got all offers so fast? I do spark here in Hickory and it used to pay while but they’re starting to drop their pay now because so many drivers have signed up for it that will take the low paying offers. Who? I did a recent video about Xpress Bags but we found they only served Texas so then I searched luggage delivery near me with little results. Finally I highlighted Roadie and Reliable Couriers as two vetted options

    I wish there was a website or app where I could just enter my zip code, qualifications, and that I want to do courier work or with a filter that allows me to only get courier gig results. And it would give me all the courier driver apps that I could use for gigs with my car and qualifications in my area. Do you know of any such site or app? The "Steady" app pretty much does exactly that but it seems to be more for food and delivery app users. Not so much for package, cargo, medical, luggage, etc. delivery work. If you don't know of any such apps for courier gig seekers you should definitely start one! It would be huge.

    @@YourDriverMike Agreed, "ASAP" orders you sit and wait for them to get ready, and THEN wait for it to come out. And batch orders out of Cranberry you have to go IN for and they're spread out over like 6-8 cabinets that they individually pull from. It can take 20+ minutes to get all of those in your cart. Gibsonia has batch orders down, all wrapped up and they bring them right out, just wish they were a bigger store that I could do Shop & Deliver which is my preferred offer as I get some steps in, get out of the car and feel like I'm getting something done!

    Charles, do you live in the same city you’re applying for cause I’ve applied for a ton these courier jobs and my experience has been pretty much the same in that I’m probably too far away from the areas they serve so I get rejected or I’m approved but the only way I’m gonna get in work is to travel into the area (which is usually major cities) and just park and wait for them to send me something. I live in a small market an hour north of Charlotte where Shawn in town lives but I don’t mind driving to Charlotte as long as I know I’m gonna have guaranteed work when I get there but to just drive there and twiddle my thumbs in a parking lot somewhere just for the sake of being in a hot spot for orders to me makes no sense. I want to do courier work but I just don’t know how to get started. Everybody recommends checking out CBdriver but there’s literally only 7 jobs in the Charlotte region listed on there and 3 of them aren’t even in Charlotte. They’re in Greenville and Columbia SC!
