Medial Patello-femoral Pain in a Road Cyclist | Tim Keeley | Physio REHAB

Ela has had 3 separate x ACL Reconstruction surgeries to her left knee. She is a competitive road cyclist and has developed a new knee injury giving her pain on the medial patello-femoral joint line. What she also has that contributes to this is a hypermobility and subluxation issue in her left hip.
Hip stability and knee tracking is key for her so her knee does not roll inwards when she is on the bike doing 100km. The neuromuscular programming and strength from these exercises will help with this as well as strengthen up the injured area.

3️⃣ Banded Eccentric Knee Extensions

    Do you have a video for knee pain just above kneecap? It's probably due to patellar maltracking.

    Sorry not related completely. Does anyone know of a good arch support insert for pronation and low arches? I need firm arch support for running, walking, and 8 hrs plus a day on my feet 5 days a week.

    Using arches leads to muscle atrophy and is detrimental in the long run from your feet and hips. Please search for squat university, flat feet and you’ll find some great videos on that channel to help you.

    I really like the Your Sole/SOLE foot beds. Several thicknesses, affordable (compared to orthotics), can be heat molded for a closer fit, but also great out of the box.
