Hi guys,
I'm back with another med school vlog 🥰 It's been a while since I've filmed one of these, but having been in the midst of internship applications, vlogging was one way to keep things light-hearted and fun :)
I completed a 2-week teaching placement at the RCH and at the University of Melbourne which was in all honesty, a lot of fun! It's probably been one of my favourite placements to date. As much as I had fun, I hope you guys enjoy this vlog!

@@AvaKim123 hi, just wanted to know what’s the duration if MD course? I am a neurological PT from US. I am looking forward to the Med school application at Australia. I have completed 5 years of bachelors of PT & one year of masters in Neuro PT from the US. I also have a year of work experience. I wanted to know if I opt for medschool in Australia, will I be paid during those 4 years? Also, how about residency? How long is it

Hi, Typically our postgraduate MD courses are 4 years long. As I mentioned in my previous comment, unfortunately medical students are not paid during medical school - you can earn scholarships but they are quite difficult to get. The system also works a bit differently in Australia - you are an intern after you gradute, and you have to complete several years of 'residency' before you apply for a specialty training program. Each specialty training program varies in length but they are generally ~4-5 years long. Unlike the US, we choose are specialities a couple of years after we've started working as doctors :) Hope this helps!
