Mechelen is a city in the province of Antwerp, located north of
Brussels in the Flemish region of Belgium. It is strategically
located between Brussels and Antwerp, and although it is not as
well known as Ghent or Bruges for tourism, it has around 300
protected monuments, many of which are UNESCO World Heritage
Sites. Mechelen really is one of Belgium's little-known
treasures!
