The Innocence 'Super Projectile' is the best skill to die from, everything else is easy for me. I can dodge it, but desync say "Nope, you not", and I die in perfectly safe spot...

Yeah that skill is just awful with any network problems.

Change the network option in game to Lockstep, should fix desync.

Lockstep + low lag server = zero problems ever.

I just used a Ruby flask/Quicksilver and would run from one side of the room , come to the middle and hit him a bit, then move to the other side of the room. I am a melee splash char only..

Yeah... I remember going into this fight with a melee splash build my first time. That was a rough run from start to finish. Thankfully I'm doing a co-op run with a high-DPS necromancer witch as my partner this time, so hopefully it's a little more balanced in my favor.

It seems like all new bosses are particularly difficult as a melee ... dat ball pretty much one shot if you react not fast enough.

You will need to watch for the animations. Unlike other bosses, Avarius also speaks a specific audible voice line for nearly all his skills.

Yeah he is ... however, as a melee I was careless and missed ball once = oneshot, had like 1800 life and mom. Was shocked a bit, dmg was too insane. However, I am not sure he told something that time I've died. But yeah it is great that there are animations and voice line to showcase that you will die soon =D

I dislike that the normal fireballs look very similar in cast animation to the 'super projectile' cast.

well done ... good content..1 of the better fights after i killed him LOST CONNECTION to the realm i thought the game was joking and that sin and darkness was covering the town or something , was disappointed when i couldnt reconnect :D

Also how are you figuring out these mechanics ;P

This is easily my favorite fight in the game.

Is the super projectile fire damage or lightning? or both? i used a ruby flask at 55% fire resist and had 1800 hp and still dropped instantly but lightning resistance was only 46%. i've died too many times to that skill on HC.

I would prefer damage types listed throughout the video.

Just faced this guy for the first time and had a hellva time bringing him down. I don't know what his chaos resist is, but my Caustic Arrow wasn't doing much.

Excellent video. Unfortunately it does nothing to help me...I'm a templar, more melee than not. I can survive almost all his hits and bounce back with regen thanks to rock golem's help. And yet...I can't even come close to defeating the Innocence mode. At all. What the heck am I supposed to do?? I'm almost level 50, what the heck?

Try turning up your volume and listen for Avarius/Innocence's voice lines. There is a special voice line for every skill used, except for the two dashes.

this dude is hard! Very unforgiving on HC mode, if you do HC you had better make sure you dodge that beam and the ball, Melee will have a shitty time with this dude, you are going to need to face tank attacks for damage besides the beam or Ball. and the statues don't help with the maim and they hit really hard. ranged makes this fight so easy

Impossible boss

This video is most excellent. :) Just had my first encounter with this guy. I have really low fire res... Died twice to the beam (The Torch) and again to the "I am your God" _Super Projectile_ move; two of the projectiles hit me and I died. It's worth pointing out that _The Torch_ is similar to Piety, The Abomination's beam but if you attempt to run through it (like I did, twice) he will immediately change directions with the beam and you will die. :) Hit run flask and run in the same direction while also getting closer to him too seems to be the best strategy. Oh, and Decoy Totem worked for the beam too. If you have one up, he'll target it first until it's destroyed then target you. This will give you a few seconds to get out of the way.

The reason for the beam direction changing is because unlike Piety, whose skill is untargeted, Innocence's Divine Beam is targeted, and thus actively seeks out a valid target. This is also why Decoy Totem, whose taunt forces targeting, is effective. Glad you liked it.

Fucking beam kill me every fucking time,fucking boss, i have extreme movement speed and still can't move from it, its not hard its pure shit,i guess they are out ideas , and if i have movement speed let me move, if i'm slow character i get why would hit me, but i have low hp, and if you take my speed from me its pure shit... not balanced boss at all, in this game i swear take HP and Regeneration instant win everything
