Measuring Your Car For Custom Wheels - The Secret Revealed!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
One of the most complicated things to do on a custom car is measuring your car for custom wheels. All of these weird offsets and such. Thankfully, a fellow named Clayton Ramstead has solved this age-old dilemma.

This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.

I want to get my wheels rebuilt with a bigger offset so I don't have to run such a huge spacer (mine are also 17x8/17x10). Biggest pain I have had with them though is on a big bump the tyre touches the inside of the arch and bubbles the paint on the outside.

Hi Jeff, is that due to ET or are you running tall tires? >25 inch diameter?

Exactly what I just suggested to Michael - that trailing arm link look damn close for ET+30
I love this vid, and it’s going to help me a lot with rebuilding my BBS RS’ (for a 930), to fit my narrow body… but I just can’t get over pickelball.
I like that your sharpie is a perfect match for the tool.....you nailed it!--- now, I'd really like to see some ability to snap on some lego-like block to approximate where the inner wheel lip would be, and even better to approximate the height of the tire.
Great tool… I would definitely re-measure the rear with a rotor installed just to be 100% before ordering the wheels…👍🏻
I run 8s up front on my ST build. ET 10.6 with a 21mm spacer giving a -10 ET. 20 will be too inboard for your wheels. Find a 8 inch fuch and test mount to your front. For rears I’m 9inch with 3 ET and plenty of room to run a 10 mm spacer
**sings** that’s what she saiddddddd 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I need that tool, that looks badass
Great video! Looks like you put the tool to good use 🤜🤛
Sure beats the hell out of how I had to do it on at least 3 cars. Eyeball it
Going to take t back to SEMA again this year Hope to see it , and meet ya
Your timing on this is incredible. I will be doing this in the next day or two.

Well, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. :-)
Michael - hope you not hit your trailing arm with those 10's at +30. Have a look on modelling that tool all the way around.
👏🍺👍🏻
Secret is to buy a floppy plastic macwiggler🤣
